As riders. For a bit over 60 years I've given it some well at times a lot of thought AND-I still got nuttin-explanation wise. What I do Know is after all this time I Still git excited at doing the Ride itself. Got in bout 124 miles today and over some of the roads I've traversed many times before. The winds today kept the leaves in the air and mostly off the road surface. And the sun was playing tag with the clouds through out the ride. Smiley When I left it was 52 degrees F hit 71 somewhere and was 53 when I got back home. All I Know is with Phatt Ghurl tween my legs decent roads and Just Ridin I could NOT have gotten a better day had I attempted to order one.  coolsmiley Another thing i Know is I AM very fortunate too be a Rider.  cooldude I claim bout 60 years cuz although the ridin bug bit germinated and took hold can't recollect whether i was 12-13-or 14 when that happened. Even after being down a few times I've NEVER regretted my ridin addiction.  smitten BUT i Still can NOT splain it. RIDE SAFE.

The good thing about it is, there is no way anyone can talk you out of something that you can not explain.

I got home today after a busy day, with about an hour and a half of light left  (a gorgeous Autumn week here). Parked the truck, changed into my gear and just headed out to nowhere in particular until the sun went down. 46 years for me, and yes...no need to explain it, just thankful that I caught and still have the fever.   Nice post Old2soon cooldude

When you're in a car, you're always going somewhere. When you're on a bike, you're already there.

If I have to explain riding to you...you’ll never understand.

Right on Dennis!

I started riding a little over 40 years ago and while the were several years I didn't ride or even own a bike there was always something drawing me back.   You are correct there no explanation!

In a car you're witnessing the journey.

On a bike you're a part of it.

Dogs understand. I like dogs.

I have had a bike between my legs for 55 of the my over 7 decades of life.   had a couple years after a motorcycle accident where I was rebuilding a bike that I couldn't ride.  But was working on one.

the feeling as been said may times above can't be explained to someone who doesn't ride.   Kind of like Serk's Dog.  Just got to put your head in the wind.
