Probably can't do it this winter but next winter I'm outa here if at all possible. This winter I still have some followup appts. here in Green Bay now that I'm done with radiation therapy. I figured a mobile home would be less expensive than a house or apartment next winter. I'd just tow the bike down, a couple suitcases of clothes and a few tools. Would like to find something near the Gulf coast but open to most anything where the temps aren't approaching absolute zero....at least my old bones sure feel like that. Nearly 53 yrs. in Florida has made me soft I guess.  Grin

Would you moving back down or just for the winter?

Most likely just for the winter....maybe Jan.-March. If I didn't have the followup appts. this coming Feb. I'd try doing it this winter. But, I need to know if the cancer is gone so don't want to put it off.  cooldude

While it might be hard to find, looking for jobs as a house/condo/big boat or even commercial property sitter might be a possibility.  Though winter is when folks want to use these places, you never know.  Real estate management outfits might be a place to check.  Little or no money paid, and maybe some maintenance duties, but a free place to stay in exchange for watching over a place.

Most trailer parks (from shabby to fancy) have what are called Park Models, permanent trailers owned by the park, and rented weekly or monthly.  After they gave up hauling around a big 5th wheel, my folks stayed in these in Arizona over Michigan winters.  They ended up buying one and fixing it up.  Nothing fancy.
