Too bad the BAdgers did not show up the 2nd half or they would have de-throned the no. 1 in the nation team easily seeing as how they near completely shut them down the 1st half.   It was a tale of 2 completely different halves, plus a NON pass interference call in the end zone against the Badgers that did not happen and a botched ref NON call on a not set wide receiver that that play ended up with a TD pass that should not have counted for Ohio State.   Both calls by the refs were badly done and should not have been missed/called which hurt the Badgers greatly otherwise would have been a much closer game than the score showed in the end.

The Badgers fielded a damn good football team this year.  But the Buckeye's were better.

I pull for the Big Ten against all comers.

There will be some wrangling over #1 (probably LSU), but the final four are known.

Go Buckeyes (tough to say from a Michigan man).

It is not so much the Badgers did not show up.  Instead it is more the OSU did finally show up.  A team that has 60  4 and 5 star players that gobbles up talent just like Alabama and Clemson does.  They go to college strictly for football and many players do not even have to go to class.  They take classes online which QB Justin Fields told a reporter, it leaves a lot more time for football.

Jess.  I pull for the B10 also, but never OSU.  It is a personal thing I acquired back in 68 when Schembeckler came to town.

Was pulling for the Badgers (just cause they were the lower ranked team).  At half time, I almost called it quits due to Ohio State's performance.   Decided to see how they came out in the 2nd half.   Glad I did.   Ohio State completely dominated and regardless of calls made or not made, proved to me they were the better team.   Wow, what a come back.   The Badgers didn't give up, they were just overwhelmed.

I suspect the LSU will be the new #1 rated team but, we really won't know till the clock runs out.   Me, I'll be pulling for LSU or Oklahoma to get there.
Jess, let's get it on!  Wink

Well, blowouts aren't much fun to watch, so I hope LSU leads the whole game, and the Buckeyes score twice late for a last minute victory.

They'll have to beat Clemson to even play LSU, so they've got their work cut our for them.

that is not like UW Madison though NO football players go there for just playing football and they MUST show up for class and not a free ride like so many other college teams allow their football players to do.  It is SUPER hard to get into UW Madison with ACT/SAT scores some of the highest around much higher test scores are needed than say a level II or III UW college nearby UW Madison.  Am betting 80- 90% or more of Ohio State football players did not get a high enough ACT/SAT scores to even get into UW Madison having lower academic standards.  We also raise some big boyz up here especially offensive line some pretty big beefy dudes to open up those holes for the outstanding running backs we have had at UW Madison over the years making it big time in the NFL.  JJ Watt came from UW Madison as well as Ron Dayne (did so so in NFL not great) and James White, among other great running backs.   When JJ Watt was at UW Madison I saw live a few games he played even at college level and you could tell the sacks and plays he made while at college knew he was going PRO for sure in the NFL above most others going against him by far.   I saw Ron Dayne recently at a UW Madison football game and he makes me look tiny and does not look now like he could even run a 100 yard sprint.  Heck,  his size and gimpy gate of walk I might be able to beat him in a 40 yard dash now???

The Badgers have the capability to beat any team even Ohio State or LSU, but less than 50% chance for sure.   They played near perfect the first half but forgot to show up the 2nd half.

Doesn't really matter to me who wins in how I live my life.   So, I don't really have a dog in this.

Having said that, here's how I see the final four.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
2. Oklahoma
4. Clemson

The strength of their respective conferences and who they played during the year is ultimately most important.  Yeah, I know Big 10 folks will see it differently.   It's a toss up between Ohio State and Oklahoma for me but we shall know soon.   Let the games begin and the losers go home.   It's gut check time, let's see who brings their A game.   angel
Would love to see the "tournament expand to the top 8 teams but, that ain't going to happen.

I say let LSU and Ohio State duke it out for no 1 and no 2 and see who wins?

Like I said, any team in top 10 can beat no 1 but less than 50% chance for sure.

We took lightly in high school one of the bottom 2 teams in conference and let them actually score 1 TD against us in high school.  Coach at half said a few choice words, etc. at half NOT happy with our 2 TD lead at half so brung up the score to over 40 points in the end them 7.  We only let out of around 7 games 1 other team score 1 TD pretty sure 5 games that season we goose egged (NO points) them in conference anyways.
