Isn’t modern technology great ? I get up this morning and my phone informs me a video of last year is ready to view. Didn’t have to do anything, it was just there. Anyway, I find it strange but cool. If you care to get a glimpse of my year, here goes.

Pretty cool Rob, jogs the memory. I remember reading the stories on the video.

That is pretty cool, but I wonder what "Big Brother" you gotta be hooked up too to get that ???

So many great pictures, to comment on all, but one of my favorites is "Dog watches sunset"

Your a lucky man dude and you've been busy.

Who's that old guy trying to climb the rocky hill?

Grin he does look pretty old, doesn't he ? I had actually forgot about it till the phone did its thing yesterday. Me and a couple of my workers went out on the lake one day for a day of beers and bonding. One is 27 and the other is 52. I kept trying to talk them into climbing that rock outcrop with me. They were chicken, so I had to show them how an old man could do it.  Wink (I really liked the pic with my nephews dogs looking over the beach also) you are right, I have been very lucky in my life. What's that old saying ? "It's better to be lucky than good" I'm honestly not sure how it does it. Last year I was looking at some pics and I hit some button and it just did it. Now this year it just did it on its own and gave me a message saying it was ready to view. (I'm probably being monitored by Trump and Barr)  2funny

I'll bet Rob has an iPhone. Mine is always sending me a "memory", though less now than before Smiley ...
After one of the recent updates, I notice that it also takes a second or two of video (with audio)
whenever you take a picture.

I connect my iPhone to my linux computer with a fuse connector to get the photos
off, and to delete them as well... I can see that iPhones also remember your pictures,
both in a directory full of thumbnails, and in a database, so just deleting the jpg files
doesn't actually delete the pictures... they have a ton of data available to use
when generating your "year in review"...

It is an iPhone. I should have said that to begin with. You are also correct in that it collects lots of data to go with the pics. I noticed a while back that many of the pics and videos are labeled with very specific locations. (Any adulterers should probably switch to flip phones nowadays)  2funny

No doubt... iPhones are kind of like the "light recorders" from the Star Trek
movie "Wrath of Khan" and also kind of like the addictive game-device
from the Star Trek Next Generation episode "The Game"...

You're probably right.  They probably haven't wrote off completely as a lost cause and are hoping and monitoring your activities to see if you've seen the error of your ways and seen the light.

Some very nice pictures there.

While I don't really want to travel to another foreign country, the trip to France looked interesting.  Almost made me want to take a trip there.  I think I would prefer a trip to Alaska, I may have to look into that, by MC of course.

I talked to a class mate at a HS reunion in October, he lives in Commiefornia, but we talked about doing it this summer, although I have my doubts it will happen.  If you step up your construction timeline and and we get our ducks aligned, maybe we could help with your project.  ( I assume your wait a couple years refers to that. )   I appreciate your offer, very hospitable of you.  If you are attending InZane this year, we could discuss it over some cold ones.  Maybe Smokin'Joe will be retired by then an ready for an epic road trip.
