After Kathy's cancer surgery in May we were hoping that was the end of it. It wasn't. Kathy was still under surveillance, every three months a CT scan, when they saw a shadow. That led to an MRI which led to a PET scan. After consults with radiologist, ssurgeon and oncologist, the diagnosis is that is on her liver, but not in it. She also has some small nodules on her abdominal wall. The treatment is 6 rounds of Chemo. One dose every other week. After number four they will do another PET scan and decide on surgery or more Chemo. They have increased the strength of the chemo. May mean more side effects. The time between the May diagnosis and this one has them on guard, but optimistic about the treatment. The oncologist keeps saying they have more tricks up their sleeve if needed. (Kathy actually told him to keep wearing long sleeve shirts. I'm a wreck and she's bringing the funny)
So, we'll see what February brings.

Jeezees Paul...nothing but curve-ball after curve-ball being thrown at you and Kathy.

OK, time for this crap with you both to stop. I had a serious talk with the Really Big Guy, asking him to cut you both a break! Next thing I know I was flat on my face on the driveway with a fractured left kneecap, and an additional two fractured ribs. He said he'd take my request for you under advisement, but suggested that perhaps threats could result in serious bodily harm to the threatener from the threatenee... I'll ask him again when I can hop back on the bike... There's a corner full of coal in my basement, and I have oil heat... Just keep fighting!  smitten smitten smitten
