Today I was just pondering the current political climate of the world and, more particularly,  the United States of America.  It makes me sad!  Anyway, this song by The Who came to mind.  A very sad song but full of truth,  in my opinion.  The human condition and the civilizations it produces are imperfect and complex and will always be imperfect and complex.
”Won’t Get Fooled Again”

It's the Who (british). The Guess Who (canadian); like American Woman

"Meet the new boss - same as the old boss."

Truer words were never spoken - making a lot of the political wrangling we routinely engage in seem like misspent energy.

Terry

P. S.  Great song, by the way!

Yes, that’s what I’m talking about.
“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”
Revolution is always accompanied by violence and when it is over, no matter who wins, there will still be those that have wealth and power and run rough over the masses that have little if any wealth or power.

Can we ever accept that we all want a better tomorrow, we just have different visions of what will make it better.

There can never be any useful dialogue as long as we are so highly polarized.  We will never make any progress toward a better world if we do not become humble enough to talk with each other as equals.

But what I see is revolution and resistance.......no humility,.....no willingness to work together as one people with the single purpose of making a better world for tomorrow.  This is a sad thing!

Agree on all points, they lost me when I see people loosing homes, paying to much taxes, suffering with progress on all issues that seem to be a modern day Sodom and all the while being out of touch to what many want for their country and not helping the working mans problems. Even as to go so far as to all but removing the middle class and enacting programs to help the bottom without addressing the problems of middle
America. All the while enriching their own pockets. Many come into office not to wealthy but when they leave are able to buy a mansion at 15 mill.

To me personally the disgrace Congress has become is unbelievable.

Agreed, very sad Embarrassed  Just proves that Satan is alive and well, and still the prince of THIS world Wink  I am only able to deal with it any more because I know the day is coming. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess.......Great day for some, Sad day for many.  It would be nice if mankind could get along better though.  Smiley
