I gotta tell ya that I'm amazed that you split all the wood by hand with a maul! I've found that after about 15 minutes of maul splitting, I'm winded.  Shocked Good on you!   Cool

I can mentally get into a 'zone' Tony, blocking out most everything except the chore at hand !!
Usually I'll swing the maul for an hour, then stack the wood....repeat if I have the energy.
As long as I'm enjoying it and having fun doing it....makes for a good day.
Did you give your new snowblower a workout yet ??
Less than 2" fell here....snowshoeing will have to wait until after Christmas.

No snowblower use yet. We got about an inch and half of snow, then all ice. My driveway is frozen solid. Thankfully the roads are fine. Going to get to the 40s on Sunday and I hope to get the driveway cleaned up. We're hosting Christmas and it would be good to have it all cleaned up.  Looks like a nice dry stretch of WX, which will be good for all the folks that have to travel for the Holidays.   cooldude

Hope you are able to get your driveway cleared for family on Christmas Tony....
We are gathering at Mom's, as we always do, and I will make sure her driveway and walk way
are cleared well ahead of time.
@ 5" of powdery fluffy snow fell last night....almost a Norman Rockwell scene out there this morning.
Temps at 11 and a gusty wind out of the NW, brings the wind chill down to near zero or below.
I will start the snowblower and get the driveway cleared....then drive to Mom's and take care of her snow....
