Dear friends

I just learned about this company that makes gun cleaning products that:
a) Seems to perform really well.
b) Not toxic.
c) Made in the USA.
d) Company owed by veterans.

The website:
https://www.froglube.com/

I'm currently using Hoppes'9 (solvent and oil) for general cleaning and lubing. For the rails in my Sig Sauer p226 and p220, I use something called Black Rifle field balm:
https://www.cherrybalmz.com/product-page/black-rifle-field-balm

I was wondering if any of you guys have used Froglube and if not, what you use to clean your guns?

Never used Frog Lube (although God knows what they put on lubricated condoms).   Grin

I've used many, but mostly the old reliable military BreakFree CLP (leaner and lube), and Shooter's Choice (cleaner), and gun grease in a few places where called for.

There must be a hundred or more cleaners and lubes, and cleaning systems (like bore snakes).

I don't think what you use matters as much as using proper cleaning methods, and not doing more harm than good with overzealous cleaning.  Always work from the breach when possible, and don't screw up the muzzle crown.

Ammo is always relevant here.  Fully jacketed rounds don't make anywhere near the mess soft lead does.

Upon further research, it seems that Froglube is chemically the same as TrackLube and Seal 1:

So I guess whatever can be found cheaper should work just fine.

Break Free CLP is the best cleaner/lubricant I've used.  It works great for lots of other applications too.

Also check out Hoppe's BoreSnake.  It greatly simplifies the cleaning task.

I was wondering... what you use to clean your guns?
Carb cleaner and Rotella T6 for lube, on the rare occasions I do a deep clean.
Most times jus' a bore snake at the range before I reload the PD ammo.
