I've never seen Craigs List so depleted of used Valkyries, north to south, east to west the boards are empty when they usually hold at least 3 to 6 anywhere you would look. There is a few for sale but they are few and far between. Did Somebody buy them all up ? Has their worth been recognized and they will start to gain value again I wonder. Has anybody checked Jack's or Pappy's garage lately ?  Roll Eyes

There are 3 in Dallas. None in Austin and only 1 in San Antonio. It might just be the Winter.

Could be the prices are too low and nobody wants to give their Valkyrie away.

So they just sit there and rust away!  What a shame!  I picked up a 98 Tourer that had set uncovered in a guys garage for 8 years.  I certainly took its toll on everything.  But I'm trying to bring it back to life.

My red and black standard sat about 10 years, luckily in a garage. It Only has 16,000 miles The tires have a DOT stamp "00", the motor is running on 2 cylinders. I'm going to make it a tourer and take it on trips in my retirement.

Same around here. Since Craigslist started charging to post Cars and
Motorcycles it's like a Ghost Town in there. I've seen quite a few on
Letgo and Facebook Marketplace lately. Found this one a few week's
ago on Letgo for 3K.

SIXLOW

I plead not guilty.   Grin

Noticed Pappy did not confirm or denied your suspicions.  Grin

Had 5 Valks, sold one and down to 3 running and one possible project.
I thought I was going to be done with anymore Valks but been thinking about  this "possible project" and might do something with it since I have all parts needed, just need to find some time to get to it.

I do have a 5th Valk in my garage at the moment but it is not mine, I'm doing carb work for a fellow Valksters.

BTW. Did not know Craigslist was charging for selling motorcycles, I did know about charging fees for car sales since I sold my truck a couple of months ago.
Like Pappy said, there are plenty of Valks for sale in FB marketplace and some really good deals.
I think we are still a long long way from seeing prices go up for our beloved Valks.

Thanks for coming out of the shadows Jack. I do apologize to both you and Pappy for my obviously false allegations about y'alls Valk greed.  Shocked  Sorry.    angel
Glad to hear you will still make a project Valk out of the parts you have left, can't wait to see what you produce next.
Question for ya, how much did CL charge for the posting for sale of your truck ?  I can't imagine everybody abandoning CL over a few bucs or even 5 would be worth it I think.

it was $5 so it did not brake the bank.
I do see a lot of people using Offer up and Let Go but mostly FB marketplace.

BTW. U don't hurt my feelings  by being mentioned in the same line as a legend like Pappy   Grin

Jack, get that extra one fixed up and running and I'll rent it next winter and leave mine here at home. That way it won't sit idle and have the carbs get all gummed up again. Just trying to help you understand. Roll Eyes  Grin
