Still making my way home from an awesome night at the Florida theater,  what a performance by JJ, I will post a few pics when I get home, glad to hear you looked him up and liked it Jeff, I call it swamp blues but it rocks on so many levels.

It's hard to convey the energy this crowd had for the local boy come back home after a couple week long tour. JJ is from the Jacksonville area and puts that into his performance along with his heart and soul. One of his best known songs is Lochloosa (1st link) , he does a solo gig sometimes that i hope to see someday and one of my favorites is "your lady, she's shady" (2nd link), He has some amazing harmonica skills as well, (3rd link). The youtube videos can lead you on for hours.

The Florida theater was built in the 20's , just the right size if you ask me, upper balcony and ornate ceiling sure adds to its character. Again pictures can't capture the energy or love from the crowd but here are a few from last night. The last one JJ was counting down the last seconds to midnight...
Happy New Year

Thanks Jerry for highlighting an awesome time for us and glad to share it with you all.
