There has been some interest as of late in upgrading our beloved Valkyrie's headlights to LED. To clear up confusion and to let those of us who are new to this, here is a post about what I do and what I offer.

I manufacture and sell an Adapter Bracket which allows the installation of an LED DayMaker style headlight to be seamlessly installed without modification. Literally plug-n-play. Here is a link to my installation video to help you understand just how easy it is (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K48cp45_h6Q&t=165s)

I use to sell the bracket alone, allowing my customers choose a headlight of their choice. This however can be a daunting task with all the manufactures, and options available. So I did the work for you and teamed up with Eagle Lights. I choose Eagle Lights because they provide quality headlights, with lifetime warranties at competitive prices.

I still sell the brackets alone, but I also offer kits. A kit consists of the Headlight of your choice mounted in the Adapter Bracket, with an optional Chrome Beauty Ring (which fills in the gap between the headlight and the bezel).

Buying from myself helps support those who support you. I do this on the side simply to offer my Valkyrie Brethren LED lighting options.

Why all the hype? The benefits of upgrading to an LED Headlights are;
- Longevity! The headlight will last the life of your bike. No need to carry spare bulbs.
- Performance! LED headlights are 2-3 time brighter than the stock halogen bulbs.
- Cost saving! Eagle Lights headlights will outlast 30+ halogen bulbs.
- Safety! Not only will you be able to see more at night, in the daytime you will better seen!
- Efficiency! Eagle Lights headlights only draw 40w which is less than a halogen bulb. Your Valkyrie's aging alternator and wiring will thank you.

Please email me ValkyrieJosh@gmail.com to see what options I have available for you, and thank you for your support!

I'm interested, but have a few questions about the Eagle headlight you recommend
  • What objective measure of light intensity do these have (like max lux or how many foot candles at a given distance (as opposed to a lumen rating which doesn't tell you much))?
  • Will the bulb/driver work with modulators like the Diamondstar
  • What color/temperature are they?
  • Does it use a fan or just a heat sink?
  • Have they been tested by the Headlight Revolution guys that test all the LED units for cars/trucks?
  • does "Buying from myself helps support those who support you. " mean that you are a site sponsor? I couldn't find a link for your kits on the sponsor/vendor page and it's not in your post.
  • Price for your kit?

Sidecar, great questions. I will answer them best I can.
- I have not seen any data on LUX from Eagle Lights.
- Modulators used on Halogen bulbs won't work on LED. There are modulators available for LED's.
+ My personal opinion is you won't need a modulator with a 7" DayMaker. The intense white light of the LED stands out on it's own in the day making you more visible.
- Color temp is 6000k
- Eagle Lights have not specifically be tested on Headlight Revolution. They are however direct competators with JW Speaker.
- I was once a Vendor here on the VRCC, but I don't make much doing this and cannot afford the Vendor fees. I was a Vendor at InZane 2019. My 2001 Valkyrie is my only bike that I average 10k miles a year on. I have been a VRCC member here since 2012.
- Please email me ValkyrieJosh@gmail.com for a Options, and Price List.
