I am trying to take the handlebars off as part of my re-build. Does anyone know how to undo the plastic clips that retain the cables and brake and clutch lines? I don't want to wreck them by doing the wrong thing. I have tried bud can't seem to get then apart.

TIA

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

They should just unsnap. Make sure there not cold and get a little screw driver in between them and snap them open. To get them off the bars they just slide off. You might have to push a small tab to get them to slide. Get a good light and look. Its pretty easy to remove them.

If you kind of twist them, you can see how the one part slides out of the other. It is easier to 'unslide' them than to pop them out.

Can't remember exactly the process, but once you have done one it will be easier.  Maybe push one side one way and the other the opposite.

Try using a hair dryer to warm them up so they're more pliable and easier to undo ....  cooldude

If you do break them {easy to do!} they are still available from Honda, part # 90690-GHB-701. I bought 2 from HDL, $2.50 each.

Thanks guys I managed to undo all four without breaking one of them.  cooldude Surprising what a torch and magnifying glass allow you to see  Roll Eyes For anyone else I found that a small awl fitted under the catch easier than a screwdriver and off they came.  Smiley
