I just made our reservations in Hill City for Sturgis next year. We will be heading there the week before again.  Nobody felt like putting up with the large crowds.  I guess part of the reason is we all fight the crowds around here on a daily basis.

Sorry that we will miss the wedding but I'm sure you will provide pictures.

Cool!  cooldude i'm planing on leaving the Wed before around noon. That thursday morning I'll be on highway 20 in Iowa again, SD bound. Are you going the same way home? Maybe we can pass each other again but maybe stop for a bite this time.
Where do you stay at in Hill City? We spent some time there last year sitting on a porch of a resturant people watching. Nice town.

We stay at the Lantern Inn, a small mom and pop place, they treat you like family.  We will head back on the 6th.  Spent a little bit of time at the Mangy Moose is town, nice little bar.  Really like Hill City.

We will be taking 44 and 18 back to 20 in Iowa. We took that last year coming back and it was much better than the super slab. Lizzie and the other wives don't like the super slab anyway.

I still have your cell number in my phone.  We will talk more as the time gets closer.

You and Kit have a Merry Christmas.

We stayed in Hill City the end of October.  Off season rates at the Holiday Inn Express was $69. per night.  The Alpine Inn was a great place to eat.  Only 2 things on the dinner menu, 6 oz or 9 oz bacon wrapped beef tenderloin.  Either came with a baked spud, 1/4 head of letuce, and texas toast for $10.99.
