Could have used this on my ex's credit cards. Probably couldn't have handled her bills though. http://www.ssiworld.com/watch/the_monster.htm

Those things are awesome to watch close up. There's a place in Milwaukee that does a lot of stuff for industry, watched it gobble up 3 Harley test bikes on morning while waiting to witness feeding it (3) bazillion-dollar V6 outboard motors.

Yeah, they like to have fun with their toys!
They've got a TON more out there... Almost as much fun as the classic "Will It Blend?" series...

I would love to see our President pony up the money for a couple hundred of those to be built and then distributed to rural counties who then can use them to clean up "backyard landfills". Clean the environment and create jobs that would last for years. Recycling all the old scrap metal couldn't hurt either.

That's great you guys found this! I've worked here at SSI for 15 years now in the R&D and sales department. If you guys have any ideas for our "watch it shred" or "shred of the month" series, let me know and I'll see what I can do! I also have a nice 1997 Valk with 8700 miles for sale if you know anyone interested. You can see more of those at www.watchitshred.com My e-mail is dfleming@ssiworld.comThanks! Dave

Wow. Is there a reason the lobes on the shredding cam (not sure what you call it) are so differently shaped from the shredder in the original post to the one your feeding cars to?
Seems like the lower profile lobes would exert alot more force than the higher profile "grabber" teeth on the other machine.

As long as it was his personal check, it's fine with me Otherwise I think I'd prefer my Federal income taxes not be used as a Christmas Club account.

AmryValkr: You got it. We actually make 4 different kinds of shredding machines. The one doing the car is a PRIMAX (pre-shredder). The ones with the disks that counter rotate do produce more torque and they also make smaller pieces.
For Daniel, we've actually had a 250 gallon Acetylene tank go through. Launched it like a missile and it flew for several hundred yards before landing on a car. It was at a customer's location in New York state.
Shredder wasn't damaged. It's still running demolition debris at 100+ tons per hour. Same thing it has been doing for the last 4 years at that site.
