Eegah (1962)  is rated as the worst movie ever.  I've seen it. it is bad but there are others that turn my stomach more.

The Three Amigos,  really Eegah's me.

Plan 9 From Outer Space (Ed Wood)

I think that's one of the movies where you can see the wires holding up the flying saucers.

On the other hand, some of those worst movies ever are great for the comedy value.  And I value comedy.

On the other hand, there's always gratuitous titillation.

If you've ever seen Mystery Science Theater 3000, where you see the silhouettes of three guys making funny comments all through the movie, those are all some of the worst movies ever made.

I have Netflix, so have started to watch many terrible movies.  A single one doesn't stand out.  That's not to say there aren't decent movies on Netflix.  YouTube has probably thousands of terrible B movies available to watch.

We all knew the STAR!  Gregory Walcott, from my former town of Wilson, NC.  He said that Ed Wood was just starting out and needed a helping hand, so he signed up.  Walcott had a productive acting career and wrote off the experience as "Everybody's got be famous for something".  He was well thought of by all.

We ditched out of High School and headed for an X-rated movie.  Those were a big deal in 1972.  The movie, called Dinah East, was terrible and we left after half an hour.  Got in Joey's old Chevy and the "Three on the tree" linkage fell apart.  Well, we couldn't call mom or dad for a ride home.  Not from there. My brother slid under the Chevy and put the transmission into second gear.  We rode 10 miles home, all in second.

That afternoon was a bad idea all the way around.

The Three Amigos

Hey now, I actually LIKE The Three Amigos!

For me the worst movie ever would have to be Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi.

On it's own merits it would just be a mediocre forgettable film, but the combination of huge plot holes, the cliched to the max Mary Sue heroine, bad story bad acting, etc ripping apart and defecating on the memories of the best movies of my childhood was just too much.

Pretty much anything starring Pauly Shore.  Seriously, though, "Manos: The Hands of Fate" is widely recognized as the lowest-budget, most amateurish film ever made.  It's supposed to be in the horror genre, but is so incredibly bad it's impossible to be anything but humorously amused.  It's a bonafide stinker - even among B movies.

Yep, before VCRs the only way to see a porn movie was at a theater.  And we had to go into Detroit to find those, and the movies were terrible (20 minute long hairy close ups).  But the worst part was those theaters were dark as sin, and you had to be really careful where you sat, and needed to avoid the old guys in trench coats.  And there were usually some skanky hookers outside looking really bad (not even if you paid me lady, but thanks for offering).

I recall my mom asked my dad to take her to see Deep Throat (I was not told this, just overheard it), and he very reluctantly did so.  Dad kept saying please we need to get out of here, but mom wanted to see the whole film.   Grin

Now going to see the Russ Meyer soft porn flicks at the drive-in were much better than early porn.  He only used the best talent (and it wasn't acting).

I really liked Nothing But Trouble.  Funny as heck.

And great administration of justice.  https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Nothing+but+Trouble+Clips&&view=detail&mid=69F0AB6E8C5903B6382969F0AB6E8C5903B63829&&FORM=VRDGAR&ru=%2Fvideos%2Fsearch%3Fq%3DNothing%2Bbut%2BTrouble%2BClips%26FORM%3DVDVVXX

Almost all of the Saturday matinee movies in the 60's & 70's were pretty bad, but I watch some of them now on classic TV and laugh  out loud at the crappy acting and cinematography.
There are a couple that I would never watch again and wish I had that hour and a half back. One being Looking for Mister Goodbar.

Hey, Jess.  Part of it was about having just turned 18.  Some new freedom became available.  That included the freedom to act like dirty old men.  We also had to register for the draft.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. 1964 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058548/

Seen it, at least parts of it, earlier this past Christmas season. No budget movie. It is so bad it achieves near greatness in that ability.

Yes sir Plug, that's how I remember it too.

Except I wasn't acting like a dirty old man, just a young man with little to no actual experience, with a very inquisitive mind (on that particular subject).

I probably still have my Selctive Service registration around here somewhere.  I never burned mine.

I'll usually soldier on through even really bad movies, but I couldn't do it on Moulin Rouge, had to leave.

The Star Wars holiday special. Thankfully it only aired once before George Lucas crapped all over himself and had it pulled. You might still be able to see it on youtube. You can see a very stoned Carrie Fisher singing a song.

I don't know if it is the worst, but it certainly deserves consideration is "Beast of the Bering Sea".   My son Eric was a stunt performer in it.  It features creatures that look like flying trash bags and some of the worst acting I've seen.  (the stunts are not bad).  In our family, we are very good at ragging on each other, and Eric gets his share anytime we watch this movie.

During WWI a Lot of Patriotic monies were made. While I can't seem to dredge up the name I remember one scene vividly. It was supposed to be a U S of A Navy submarine. It was an under water shot-in a swimming pool because you could see the lines of the different depths in the back round and the bottom of the supposed "ocean" was perfectly flat-no rocks no vegetation and no sea life. Also have seen some "aerial battles" and have observed the wires holding up the aircraft while it headed down into a fiery "crash". Look closely at the bat that changes into Dracula-Bela Lugosi Drac-and you Will see the wires operating the bat. RIDE SAFE.

Hey you forgot the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" on the worse list.  Stayed up one night to watch it.   Thought it would get better.  DW went to bed laughing.
