Just got my bike back last week from Attic rat... figured I'd post my experience so other people may know what to expect.

Overall it was a very good experience. The worst part about it was the shipping.. it's very scary letting a random person ship your bike, and it ended up costing me my rear view mirror. Could have been MUCH worse but Bob made sure the guy strapped the bike down properly on the way back. Bob definitely goes the extra mile to help you out... I think I would be very upset right now if he didn't hold that idiot's hand when he was loading my bike

As far as the performance package goes... it's exactly what I expected. The bike definitely has more power... fishtails if you let the throttle open completely from a ROLL ON. My dream was to get this thing supercharged, I'm no longer interested in a supercharger. I read other people talk about improvements in MPG, I haven't ridden enough to notice that yet but I believe it, the bike seems like it's much more responsive with much less throttle needed..

Bob did much more than just the performance package for me... he worked on my BBT forward controls and made them CRISP and functioning PERFECTLY. He installed a shifter support and it works exactly how I dreamed of now. I'm very grateful about that, he didn't charge me and labor for it either.

Bob also added some other goodies... goldwing levers, better handgrips, and replaced some rusted parts to make the bike look even fresher.

So far I'm about $20k into my valkyrie. Was it worth it? Well.. depends who you asked. I'm 29, as a child the Valkyrie was my dream bike, now I have a beastly version of one that will last me the rest of my life, so I'm happy with it.

The last thing I'm going to do to this bike is chrome the rims and rotors, after that she's complete. Bob gave me great advice for doing that as well as other very useful information. He followed up after the service and even helped me get a replacement part for my rearview mirror

If you have the funds, send your valkyrie to Bob. You won't regret it.

(He also sells some very...very nice valkyries, if I didn't have one I would have bought one directly from him)

Bob is good people. Rims chrome will be cool. But rotors? If  you gonna ride it only half of the rotor will remain chrome. Just my HO.

I am guessing he meant he wants to have the calipers chromed.

I bought one of Attic Rats motorcycles from his personal collection.   Can say that the bike is perfect in all respects.  One beautiful machine!  Also can testify that The Attic Rat is one fine guy.  Does what he says he will do!

If you don't mind me asking, how well does the chrome hold up? Also, is powder coating more practical?

The Chrome holds up very well I have a set that dates back to 2000 and they still look like brand new. I just spay them down with glass cleaner every one and a while

I bought a bike from Mr Attic Rat and it had his performance work done to it, and I think it is a stunning bike.  Almost every time I ride it I have someone come to me and ask about it, I have heard more then once " Yea I used to have a Valkyrie but I sold it, best damn bike I ever had".  He has very good bikes and they are better then they were new.
Thank you again my friend.

I have to give a little background to Bob and I’s first meeting. I was traveling on my IS to Arizona from Alabama, i stopped in ft smith Arkansas for some lunch and pulling into gas station i heard a pop pop pop when turning in them leaving to head to a wendys i heard the same. While eating I was thinking something wasn’t right.  Found local Honda dealer, mechanic rode bike  around and said Nothing wrong. I disagreed and called Bob.  ( got his # here).  Told him of my troubles and he said sounds like a wheel bearing. So I said I am headed to Tulsa ( only 3 hrs north of route 2funny) told him if I didnt make it I would call and he said he would pick me up with trailer ( keep in mind we have never met). Well I arrive at his house and he isnt home Undecided called him and he said he had to drive 45 minutes over to a bearing wharehouse to pi k up some bearings be ause he had none in stock. Well he pulls in about 20 minutes after my  arrival and has parts in hand. We met and got to work. Put my phat gurl on a lift and took the rear end off. Got it taook apart and he puts the bearings in the freezer and says they need a couple hrs.  So we go to supper at Billy Sims BBQ. Was a good meal. Then back to his house to get phat gurl road worthy again. Got it all back together then he offered a room to sleep. I did decline (but appreciated the offer) stayed a mile from his house at a hotel and back on the road the next day.  cooldude since that trip 4-5 yrs ago I haven’t passed Tulsa within a 100 miles I haven’t stopped to visit with Bob. Since he has done his work on my bee and we talk regularly. As I said before BOB IS GOOD PEOPLE.

I'd like to mention, Bob took care of me very well.  I had an apparent compression problem with one of my George heads (red show bike blown bobber below) as I was working on installing a Dyna3000 and more powerful VTX coils.  Looked like I might have inadvertently bent a valve as I was getting uneven pressure on the wet compression check.  Bob said, send it in & I'll do my tests & such.  He had a trip upcoming but he squeezed it in beforehand and got it on the way back to me before he left.  He also cleaned out the ports, and did the valve job ensuring they were up to spec, not bent and sealing properly.  Turns out uneven pressure is expected when it's run infrequently so the rings can have some blowby and also the engine being cold.  Not only did he turn it around FAST but his price was exceptional.  Waytago Bob!

BTW George runs like a top, after I got him buttoned up.
