Go for it.  I use Shell rosella 15/40 in my valks and in a BMW R1200.

CK-4 or older CJ?

CK is/was low on phosphorus needed by the gears for wear prevention. Early CK-4 Delo.

if it meets the new Ford spec WSS-M2C171-F1 , it will have enough phosphorus.

YUP!!!  I use the Mobil 1 Diesel product in the 5w/40 weight........it comes in 4 quart containers.......PERFECT!!!

But.....15w at start up?    It ain't a Harley!!!!   I would not use it........
