What performance mods/enhancements have you made to your 1800? Could you tell a power difference? Dyno? Still run on regular gas?
Thanks in advance.

Performance Mods  on the Valk are very difficult due to the lack of aftermarket  products  available.  I have voiced my  frustrations regarding the lack of  aftermarket  stuff  for this bike ever since I bought new in 2014. Part of  the fun owning a bike is enjoyment you get from doing mods - (making it your own).   I can't stand Harleys, but they do have a large selection of aftermarket stuff available.  All of the mods I have done are comfort/cosmetic,  nothing related to performance.

I would like very much to upgrade the performance also, but it is my understanding that the Honda ECU is very hard to crack, I don't think anyone has been able to do it.  If so let me know.

Since this is a 20 year old design, if there are performance mods out there I would think that the Goldwing folks would know the most about it. Check out the gl1800 forums maybe?

There's a power commander thing for the 2014 Valkyrie. I
used its youtube install video as one of my guides the first
time I dug down under the tank of my bike...

There are mufflers available from Freedom Peformance and at least one other manufacturer (can't remember his name but his exhaust  include his Torq Loops).

Don Guhl remaps the Valkyrie's ECU and can modify radiator fan-on time, idle, perhaps remove top speed limiter, and increase redline.  I have the remap (I didn't change fan or idle parameters) and I can't tell much difference before and after EXCEPT: with the red line extended, I'm amazed at how hard it pulls up to the new redline.

Exhaust with torque loops, paired with Guhls remap should yield noticeable results.
States it improves, smooths out shifting, increased torque and horsepower across the entire rpm range.
A friend did this, the pipes looked amazing and finished his black and blue look (Black pipes) and sounded amazing. Friend did this and noticed smoother easier riding in low rpm range and more torque, Hp, and pulled like a train from 3000rpm and up.
That bike was offered to me and I'm still kicking myself.

I asked to see dyno charts, (from the bikes owner) reputable engine tuners provide this, usually on their website before you purchase. I did not see them, so it's only hear say at this point. If I find solid info. I'll share it.
I did ride this bike, although have nothing to compare it to as I did not ride it before the re-flash and exhaust work.
