It looks like a lot of folk's are getting hammered by snow. But here in Lubbock, TX, we very seldom see any of the white stuff. If you've got some snow pictures, post em. I'd like to see them.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

We got lucky. I think the snow jumped Ind. We just got alot of heavy wind and cold. I got the wood stove, pellet stove, and the furnace all going.  Embarrassed

No snow, but here on the left coast we're definitely wet.  Supposed to last through Saturday night, postponing my annual Saturday One-Eyed Gator golf tournament..  Angry

BUT, supposed to be gone by Sunday morning, so looks like the Santa Barbara Toy Run is still on...  cooldude

Snow in Northwest Florida.

I see snow all the time.  But I get to leave it at work when I leave for the day.   Wink

We just got hit with any where from 8" - 12"...  In the deep freeze now, with temps hovering around 0 for the past two days...  No pictures from the latest storm, but here's a couple of Pic's that show how things can change in a few months...

Summer time in my back yard...

Same view, last winter...

Yes, it's very pretty to look at, but after doing this 5 times, in 2 days, it get's old...

Gotta love Wisconsin  uglystupid2

Great pics. Almost makes me wish we'd get some. We'll get an inch or two a couple times a year, but our last BIG snow fall was back in '86. We got 18" and it pretty much shut down the town.

.........snow is just a state of mind Bugslayer....when I moved up Northern Michigan I was amazed that after a serious snow storm folks were immediately out and about, enjoying the winter storm Mother Nature had given them...the weather man up here calls it.."good snow"...when its hard and deep enough for the locals to get their "sleds" out and polish their skis in anticipation of a little cross country...already yesterday there was a snow mobile buzzing down our street....comming home from Christmas shopping late one night few years back...I was amazed to see one of the local watering holes on the outskirts of town....their parkinglot was full of snowmobiles...with a few cars mingled in.....some nights when were out...its 15 blow zero.....wind is howling...I mean its BITTER COLD out.....and here are all these guys are out flying around the trails in the woods that surround our town on snowmobiles...these small towns up here survive on the tourist...camping and exploring nature in the summer...hunters in the fall....and the snowmobile folks  and skiers in the winter months....last winter was brutal...temps as low as 20 below zero....we had so much snow that the DPW ran out of places to dump it as they gathered it up with front end loaders from our little down town area....

....this shot is a few years ago....March I believe..or somewhere around there....after a long winter I had cabin fever...Bad....got this Idea to go out in the back yard...clear an area...set up the fire pit and get a roaring fire going...and have a little BBQ....as a gift to Mother Nature so she might take pity on us and give us an early spring....it didnt have the affect I was hoping for......but we sure had fun doing it...  Cool
