I purchased a new old stock Memphis Shades :Fats"  kit from a Honda dealer several months ago.  Just got around to attempting to mount it.  The headlight cut out is too small to clear the light.  My cutout is about 9 inches.  The dealer and I thought this was correct as the "book" says a nine inch headlight.
Could someone with a Fats or Slim Memphis Shades measure the actual headlight cut out?  I am going to attempt to make the hole larger.....

If memory serves me, it is 11”. Just cut in an inch all the way around with a jigsaw on a slow setting. Use tape or cardboard to keep from scratching it up.

I'd dry mount it before cutting. Getting the shield tilt in line with fork angle and proper height adjustment where the top of the shield is at the bottom of your nose/lip level is good place to start. That being said I still have to put my lowers on to get best results as far as buffeting. Shield "tuning" can be soooo much fun.  Wink
