Only 1? lol I'm a whiskey drinker. I prefer a Jack sour. I usually make due with whatever is available. Mt Dew, lemonaid, etc. Not a fan of coke with mine but will if its all I got. Gator aid and OJ is at the bottom of the list. When I'm on the road its Mt Dew. Since times are tuff I been buying Evan Williams. It don't hurt so bad in the morning with it. Kit is a fan of Vodka and Cranberry. Tastes like kool-aid. Thx to Valkhound for helping her find it at One-eyed Jacks. Never had a $100 bar tab before. Another of her favs is Dr Migilacudy's (sp) and vodka. Taste like strawberry shortcake. Now I could give ya my apple Pie receipe.....

Good bourbon is best on the rocks....but "blended" whiskey mixes nice too! Have you tried Squirt and Evan? Makes a good sour in my opinion. A great 100% Sweet corn whiskey from McCormick in MO.,sold under the name Platte Valley is good too. Mixes well with Ginger Ale but it's too sweet to mix with most soft drinks. AWESOME in a shot glass and not expensive either !

You don't say if this is for polite mixed company or a band of rowdy drinkers so it is difficult to answer.
Besides my other life experiences, I was also a bartender for a summer (and pitched for the bar softball team).
And all you other guys (but one)..... he asked what he should take to a party, not what you hope he serves you at his house. LOL
Now I'm guessing beers and shots are out. (A fun cold weather Christmas shot is a harbor light: 1/2 southern Comfort and 1/2 peppermint schnapps (one or two are OK, more will make you nauseous) (much easier to pour them if you have the spouts in the bottles)
RoboCop has the better idea and a nice recipe; a tasty liquor punch. However, others will likely bring hard eggnog of one sort or another so if you Google a search on holiday recipe/drinks/punches there are a bunch more out there (and some are pretty good).
Vodka and cranberry juice is nice. Kahlua and cream. (fresh fruit) Daiquiris.
Me, I make great margaritas. Have all the fixins/ice and take your own blender, and make fresh ones. Don't forget fresh lime and ocean salt for the glasses (which I don't like/need). For frozen margaritas fill the blender 3/4 with ice, a can of frozen margarita mix, tequila, triple sec and a couple ozs of Roses Lime juice) (wet a towel, dampen the glass rim and dip it in the margarita salt). The trick is to go easy on the tequila... at least for a while.
A devious man would bring champagne so he would spend time serving the ladies.
Or, a good bottle of single malt scotch, which will be greatly appreciated by those who don't like any of that sh!t. HAHAHAHA

Forgot about it till you brought it up.

Heres a good recipie:
Bread flour olive oil salt yeast water while the bread machine is making dough I put a huge pile of basil leaves in the food processor with salt pepper pine nuts parsely and pour olive oil on the pile as she spins until a beautiful green paste is made
Next prepare meats and veggies to top the pie..............{ok, bout time to crack the first top on a coors, Fosters, or Guinness}
now add some green paste to a bowl of plan ol tomato sause and set aside.
spread dough, clean hands.....{crack another top}
oven on to 450° and wait for preheat
Spread sauce pile on the mozzerella and then the meats and veggies to taste.......{may be time to crack a top}
20 minutes in the oven and its deffinetly time to crack another top.....and that is a perfect Christmas beverage, maybe harder to make than most but it goes great with football games

Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies
1 cup of water 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup of sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup or brown sugar 4 large eggs 1 cup nuts 2 cups of dried fruit 1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila
Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.
Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one peastoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still ok, try another cup just in case.
Turn off the mixerer thingy.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick the frigging fruit off the floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who geeves a sheet. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher. Cherry Mistmas !

+ 1 on the vodka and cranberry try a little splash of Red Bull in it. After 2 or 6 of them, it'll put a little kick in your step.

Anita likes her egg nog and Southern Comfort.
My goddaughter likes hers the same way. However, I prefer to use Drambuie instead of the SoCo. Much better that way. Of course, I'm currently watching my weight so I'll have to skip the eggnog and stick to Bruichladdich neat.
