Can't help you with the lock but keep in mind the Mitsubishi DC3 blank  is a perfect replacement when you need a key. I bought mine and had it cut for around $1.50 out the door. Lots cheaper than the Honda blanks.

# 19 is the cylinder and key.  Is this the item you need?

Looks like $21.01 out the door + shipping and handling.

Honda DirectLine might have it also.

OR, you could just walk the trunk into your local lock and key outfit and they will almost certainly be able to install a new lock in it.  Take your backup ignition key with you, and they may be able to custom make keys that work both trunk and ignition (seat & forklock), otherwise you end  up with a different key for the trunk (which is not a big deal).

Write down Joe's blank key code and give it to them (Mitsubishi DC3 blank ).

Perhaps some strong magnets on the inside to keep it from bouncing open.
