HELP Pilot Screws stuck

My 99 Valkyrie i've had couple years 17000 miles has been bubbling or sputtering for some time at lower rpm's I have ran sea foam and Lucas and not seeming to help.
So I tried to adjust pilot screws, could not get to so I pulled chrome tubes out and inspected with mirror and light. A couple look pretty buggered up by previous owner.
I do have the steel D socket from red eye and don't think it will turn at least one of the screws. so I have stopped for nor probably have to pull carbs and try again.
The two on road side that did turn were only one was 1/2 turn out and other maybe one turn.
BUT ANYWAY WHERE CAN I BUY NEW OR USED PILOT SCREWS IF NEEDED?
Could this be why it was bubbling or sputtering?
Should I rebuild carbs?
Thanks
I have found this site to be invaluable

As you know, they should be lightley screwed in and backed out approx. 2 turns as a healthy starting point.
If the screws are buggered, then probably the rubber 'O' ring is also crushed.
I wouldn't remove the carbs just yet as new pilot screws ( once obtained ) and 'O' rings can be installed in situ and is probably worth doing no matter what.

Yes, with the patience of Job and a vocabulary not learned in church those screws can be done w/o removing the carbs. Having faced that issue myself in the past I pulled the carbs and if the tip isn't damaged, I then used my Dremel tool to cut a slot in the head so as to use a regular straight screwdriver blade. I'll assume since some heads are messed up, the PO probably tried to adjust a pilot screw that wouldn't turn. You may not have any better luck w/o removing the entire ass'y.

I’ve had pilot screws that were simply corroded into place. The best way I could suggest (no, not the easiest) would be to remove the carb asm. It’s not as difficult as it may at first seem. While your carbs are out, order a gasket set (don’t forget O rings for downdraft tubes) from redeye and some new float valves from K&L. Open up the carbs and clean them. Invert them and spray a little PB Blaster into the pilot screw basins. Then go wait for your parts to come in. Give it a week, maybe applying a little more PB Blaster each day. That should free them up. If they’re buggered on the outside, have a new set of them coming as well. I believe you can get them from Jets-R-Us. I know for sure you can get OEM.

I recommend these.
They are to spec BUT are slotted for a flathead screwdriver instead of the OEM “D-shaped” head.

I feel you would have better results with Berrymans or Techron, both of these are stronger agents that what you have been using.
And I'd also suggest to use strong dose applications, there will be no harm doing so.
Seems like the previous owner messed with the carburetor adjustments.
Ought to turn them screws back to oem suggested settings. All of them.
Ride it for a while before you attempt more involved operations.
If you can run non-ethanol enriched gasoline, the problem you have would most likely clear up.
