Ran across a 2013 w/28k on it for under $10k so wondering if any major differences exist between the years.

Standard model and Deluxe model. Deluxe model gets you passenger back rest, center stand, heated grips, self canceling turn signals. Don’t discount the passengers backrest, makes strapping down a T-bag, duffel bag or a bag of dog food easier.

Don’t know if this is fact or not but I read where all Canadian f6b’s had antilock brakes. Since you are a lot closer to the boarder, I thought that to be informative if true.

Yes the Canadian model has ABS breaks. However they only get the Standard model with ABS.

Ok....so I'll adapt an automotive unit to it like I did with the 1st generation Valk. This one already had a corider backrest but I'd be more interested in one for myself. I'll probably not pursue this but it's only about 40 miles away, plus it's black so you know it's really, really fast.

The F6B had several changes over the years, but none were deal breakers. I'd buy any year in good condition without hesitation if the price was right. Without looking up the details, here's what I remember changing over the F6B's 4 years. 2013 - The first year had some paint issues. To make the EPA happy Honda used water based paint, and did not use clear coat. This paint scratched easily unless you were extra careful when washing and waxing (with a high quality wax). I had a red 2013 and the paint looked great because I heeded the warnings, but I saw others with noticeable scratches. Whenever I waxed it, the rag would pick up a noticeable pink color. 2014 - Honda changed from chrome to black exhaust pipes, and also made them louder. The 2013 models had ultra quiet pipes like the rest of the Wings. Many riders, myself included, liked the quieter pipes. The black pipes have a drone that isn't as pleasant as the old Valkyries. Also in 2014, Honda changed the dogs on the 4th and 5th gear sets on all Wings. There had been a few complaints about 'ghost shifting', where Wings would shift between 4th and 5th by themselves. This was a very rare problem and it never happened on my 2013. 2015 - Honda added cruise control. It works flawlessly on my current 2016. I've never had cruise on a bike but I use it far more than I expected. 2016 - This was the last year for the F6B, and Honda made no changes I can remember. Standard vs. Deluxe - For $1,000 more, the Deluxe version added a passenger backrest, heated grips, a center stand, and self cancelling turn signals. This was a good deal for useful accessories. In my climate the grips are very nice, and the center stand is a must. The signals cancel too quickly but I got used to hitting the button twice. The F6B is an awesome motorcycle. It's a bit faster than our Valkyries and handles much better. With no carbs you'll never worry about hydrolock. And changing the rear tire is a breeze with the single sided swing arm. The only downside is changing air filters; it takes a few hours. Here are the 2 F6Bs I've owned, along with my '98 Tourer, all in the same location in Western Colorado:

Pipes were the same for 13 and 14, change happened in 15 when cruise was added. Then the only changes were a shifting dog in 15 and also some 40th anniversary stuff along with colors. Black pipes are a bit different in sound.

My mom used to live in Montrose so I took that route many times to visit. After finding the picture I took in 1999, I decided to take more in the same spot. Hey! I recognize those pinnacles! One of our favorite day rides, but particularly during the annual leaf peeping autumn color explosion. The drought conditions in 2018 were certainly noticeable, but it has recovered over this past year.

Love that white and black, BTW. Don't know what it is about that color combo, but it gets me every time!

I never imagined I'd own a bike that color, but Honda got it right on the F6B. The matte paint picks up the sky nicely in this shot at Arches NP. It was an early morning in late October.
