The next few months are likely to be a unique experience for our country (The US) and the world.

We need to learn some things from this experience and make sure we don’t forget them. First off, we (perhaps all countries) need to keep manufacturing vital to our health and security “in our own country”. And if it means we pay a little more, that’s fine, it will help keep our families alive and our fellow Americans employed.

While I well understand the need to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus to prevent our hospitals from being overwhelmed I also think we need to be realistic and accept the fact that nearly all of us are going to be exposed to and likely get this virus in the next year, week or month.

Its likely that quite a few my age and up are going to get really sick and some will die.

Am I praying for those I love? You bet I am. Am I praying that President Trump, VP Pence and their family’s stay healthy? I am and we all should. His leadership is the reason our hospital’s aren’t overwhelmed right now.
With Ohio saying they suspect they already have 100,000 undiagnosed cases I really don't even see the reason for testing at this point.

In a year or two this virus will join the hundreds of thousands that are just part of our everyday, human existence. After getting it, we’ll probably be immune to this particular strain. The best-case scenario is simply to survive it (as most of us will) and be done with it. I don’t mean be in a hurry, I’m not suggesting corona parties or anything like that, I’m just saying you and those you love are most likely getting it, plan for it but don’t freak.

I’m also saying that living like a hermit until a rushed, experimental vaccine, probably made or engineered by the same country that turned this virus loose on the world is probably not the best way to handle it. And that standing breathlessly in line to have it injected into your blood stream as soon as the first rushed, beta version samples are available is probably not a rational response. As we have seen with asbestos, smoking and zantac, it takes many years to know the long-term effects of such things.

If and when you get this virus, survive and be ready to help the ones you love when they get it.

Survive, protect your family, your freedom and your country, it’s really that simple.

Yep. Live on, when I die, I die. I strongly doubt it will be from COVID-19, however - My immune system isn't degraded yet. Bugs bite me - they die, I might get sick for a day or two (maybe a week or two on something really bad).

Take reasonable precautions, and enjoy life. That includes getting some wind therapy Smiley .

Hang tough America.  We've had mixed results with coronavirus vaccines, but the world is dumping so much money and brainpower into this will get it.  Eventually.

Much of this is fear of the unknown, which can be scary.  In the coming weeks some of us will know someone who recovered without complications.  That could help diffuse the panic.

I've already stated I am a bit past the trifecta for preexisting medical issues. At 75 while I KNOW I will pass from something should I have a say in it I'd much prefer it too be death from old age.  Roll Eyes Also stated my former smoking most likely be the root cause of my demise. BUT when I pass I most likely will Never KNOW What took me. Death gits us ALL sooner or later. Not being morbid just stating an inescapable FACT. Good thoughts you posted Mike. I've been talking with GOD quite a bit lately.  angel I feel lots better after my Prayers. RIDE SAFE.

A Corona party is just what we should order! Some lemons, some limes, Tacos, Fajitas, maybe a shrimp and crab boil too! Just as well have the crabs if you're gonna have Coronas.

Just got back from a vacation in the Tampa area. They got to do something about the traffic. Shesh! Anyway, first day back at work after a week and a half off. To help combat the corona virus the company, a regional grocery chain of which I work in one of it's distribution centers, has decided that we can no longer use the water fountains in the Distribution center. These are your standard press the button and a stream of water gently arcs through the air, kind of water fountains. You can even fill a personal water bottle from these fountains. That option was so we can save the planet. (Not kidding) Probably the most sanitary and hygienic means to get a clean, fresh and virus free drink of water.

We now are offered bottled water. Which are in plastic, Earth killing bottles.

But everyone can use the same toilet. I guess as long as you don't drink from it you'll be ok.

Seems like everytime I seem to get things figured out in life God says "Hold my beer"
