My name is Bluebonnet Spearman, but don't tell no one Charlie!

If my folks had named me Bluebonnet, I would've been working on a legal name change at about 6yo.

That's great!

They're not quite ready up here, north of DFW, but it won't be long.

I got in a ride up to Anderson last Sat and it was nice. Bugs are out also causing large spats. Grimes
county courthouse was all scaffold up like they were rebuilding it.

We need to start a new Texas courthouse tour.

That sounds like a great idea.   cooldude

For those curious out-of-staters, there are 254 counties in Texas.  The largest is Brewster, with approximately 9,400 people spread across 6,192 square miles.  Home of Big Bend, it is larger than Connecticut and smaller than Hawaii.

It would be about time, before it gets too hot, to get some miles all together on a ride   coolsmiley

Not sure how just riding around, even though we are always practicing social distance, would be viewed by the "stay in place" leos.

I have thought about this, and it seems to me, given the list of all the things you are allowed to go out for, a credible reason to be out can be fabricated with a bit of thought and maybe preparation.  (Like milk, or helping someone out with something necessary, or delivering or picking something up.)  (Not that we should want to tie up LE.)

But if you are out riding two or more together, then it just suspiciously looks like a group of guys out for a ride.

I would consider a motorcycle ride through the country as an "Essential Outdoor Activity" as described in Section 6.b.i. and section 6.b.iii. of Austin's Stay at Home Order and, therefore, fully in compliance of said order.

Riding, especially, through the country is like getting a top quality therapy session.  You breathe in clean air breathe out bad, no one is there to raise your blood pressure or cause you undue stress.  After a couple hours your're ready to be at home for awhile.  Riding is a sure way to keep yourself healthy, mentally and physically.

What if all go riding and just happen to meet at different intersections or highways. No stopping together! Grin

Bluebonnets on the willow city loop are looking good, but there is a lot of traffic. Lots of people stopping to walk out into the pastures.  You could try Althaus/ Davis rd, not much traffic, but turns to dirt rd 4-5 miles in.  It's paved in Gillespie county and unpaved in Blanco county, has been pretty well maintained.
