On Friday if you all remember the President had the press conference in the Rose Garden with all the executives from different big companies...Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and so on. They went on to talk about how something has been in the works for quite some time, I don’t remember the exact time they quoted, but I have to say from what I have seen locally it’s true.

In our area we have as most of you all probably do we have a Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and a Target. Well for about 2 weeks now our Walgreens has had 3 medium size shipping containers in their lot just sitting there and our Target has at least a dozen large size shipping containers in their lot with portable fencing around them just sitting there. Every time I have driven past there I wondered “why so many containers, are they getting ready for a big renovation?” It is a nice store already and my wife shops there on occasion and told me she hasn’t heard of anything regarding a renovation.

With so many large containers is this Target site going to be a staging area? I don’t know but we do have 3 hospitals ranging from 1 mile, 5 miles and about 10 miles from this site as well as others in our northern neighboring county.

I haven’t driven around to other areas to see/confirm my belief (don’t feel like wasting the fuel) but it will be interesting to see if this is correct. It one thing to announce the wheels are in motion for a situation like this and it’s another to have the plan ready to go when the word is given and having all the prep work done regarding the logistics and site planning is a key factor.

Maybe some of you folks have noticed the same things in your areas but paid little attention to it as I did, but again I may be all wrong and the storage containers at these locations are just coincidental and I’m just overly optimistic, we’ll have to wait and see.

Peace to all. Be cool, be calm, be smart and God bless.

Hmm,  good questions.  Lotsa pop ups on universities,  in parks and on hospital grounds springing up all across our country. Each nation is prepping in a way that they hope will work best.   I wonder if the draconian methods other countries are employing may be best, but I guess only time will tell...  Afterthought -- it could be wise as most folks know where their local Wally World and Target  are located.  Easily found and centrally located.  Access to Rx considered also?  Large truck bays for medical equipment deliveries, etc.?

Cool and calm.   Let's hope.

Looks like folks who are 70 years of age or over in the UK are going to be required to quarantine at home for four months. Addressing their ventilator shortage, UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock said,  "If you produce a ventilator we will buy it.   No number is too many".   It's real deal bad stuff.
