I very rarely listen to music when I am riding...however 2 of my favorite songs that I tend to listen to when I am relaxing out on an empty stretch of highway are the following:

Chris Rea "Sweet Summer Day"powered by Aeva

and

The Church - Under The Milky Way (Audio only)powered by Aeva

Occasionally I listen to the following Mick Fleetwood song, but I get lost in the lyrics trying to figure out what the hell he is talking about...until I once again convince myself that he had simply eaten a LOT of acid before writing the lyrics!

My favorite music to get a ticket by is probably Nickleback's Animals closely followed by a few other Nickleback tunes including the one with their singer and Santana together (Smooth?). Deep Purple's Child in Time, the live version of Lazy and Highway Star and the studio versions of Sail Away and Mistreated. Rainbow's? Solder of Fortune, any ZZ Top, any Bob S. or Aerosmith. The Allman Brother’s Whipping Post and Elvin Bishop with the Allman Brothers on Drunken' Hearted Boy from Live at the Fillmore East. Then, any other Allman Brothers from that era and of course any Led Zep.

Smooth
Santana - Smooth (feat. Rob Thomas)

Santana - Put Your Lights On [TheWraith]

I listen to XM radio while riding and am up for whatever variety they offer...but I do have a ritual for every major road trip...especially when I set out for InZane... on my MP3 player I start every trip out with 4 songs for good luck...  1. China Grove from the Doobies 2. Runnin' Down the Highway from the Doobies   3. Let it Roll Down the Highway by BTO  and 4. Free Ride by Edgar Winter Group... once those 4 songs are played, it will be a good trip...
 cooldude
and... once in a while, I will play a 5th song -  Eastbound and Down by Jerry Reed....
