Was visiting my son and DIL in Memphis the last few days. He's a Para-Medic, she's a heart specialist nurse (don't remember her exact title). Regardless, both see a lot of medical stuff and are exposed (potentially) to patients having the Coronavirus. Both had some interesting and scary stories to tell.
Regardless, my son got called in on his day off to cover for another para-medic at a different station. Since he was not going to his normal station, he didn't have his normal stash of food at the assigned station and didn't have time to go get anything to eat for his lunch or dinner. Mom and I volunteered to get him what he wanted and drop if off at the station he was going to work at.
We went to a Krogers and a Wally World and in both cases, the shelves were virtually empty for the most part. We got him food but, it was not something he or I would have wanted.
People are going nuts is all I'm going to say. The supply chain is doing it's best to keep up. I can only imagine how long some folks will be using toilet paper they bought during this pandemic.
