Hi,
Well aside from the *ucking snow falling now...  I got my Valkyrie up and going.  Time for a new front tire.  I see that Michelin stopped making the TR4.  So, what are you guys using now for the front tire?

Thanks!

AdrainR:  I feel your pain. The crap you got yesterday, we are getting today- 5 to 8 inches. I thought about getting my Valk up and running until I saw the weather forecast.  Rarely do we get to ride before April.

I dont see anything wrong with either of these choices and would go for the 5 probably. I just put on a new rear and still had a 4gt waiting in the wings. I also still have a brand new front waiting of the 4 but will more than likely order a 5gt for the rear and the 5 for the front also.

I noticed that some dont have a 60 rating on the weight so check carefully before ordering.

If I remember correctly you had a 5 on the back you liked well now you can have an almost matching set.  Grin

Hey Bob, every time I look for a vendor carrying either this tire or using their sizing search routine I cannot find a 19" size. Makes no sense.

Go to the link I left for you at the top of the picture, I tried it put the size in and add to cart came up.

Maybe they dont just like guys from Chicago  Wink 2funny

If all else fails call them and place the order.

This is what I have on the bike now because I bought a pair to have in stock.

These are going to be my new choice in tires since the PR 4 has been updated to these.  cooldude
I will order these as soon as things calm down a bit.

I just came back from Deals Gap...unfortunately in my truck..couldn't take the bike...  family needed a vaca...

Anyway saw one Valk 1800 there.  He had a Pilot 5 on the back and a properly sized Commander III on the front...said the bike handled fine.  I am thinking of maybe this route.  I really don't like the 120 size...  after I get off my other bike...the bars move to easily...

What are your thoughts on mixing a bias ply tire on the front, properly sized...with a radial on the back?

I didn't see one in the size we need on Michelin's website.

I think Harley actually from the factory does that on a bike, and a few have mentioned that they have done it with OK results. I personally would not do it, especially when tires are offered for our bikes that would work fine.
