I sure envy you guys that can grab a few hunks and slabs of wood and turn 'em into something useful and/or beautiful.
Nice work!

That is amazing Jeff. Both the work, and that the Air Force is trying to get sizes right. I remember my very first fatigues (pre BDUs), where pretty big and floppy. I was 31yo, and the military clothing gal said I would grow into them. (I said... I hope not.)

That sounds so wrong - feet size for flight gear fit ?
My feet are 9eee, I'm right around 6 feet tall, 30 inch inseam, and I wear 34 inch long sleeves (I used to have my hands at my knees before my growth spurt). Not really "standard sized" by any stretch....

I think the foot is intrigal to the suit so they go by foot size. These things don’t have to look stylish

asked the boss what I need to do to get my PC, etc. loaded up ready to attempt to work from home on Monday with the other 99.9% at home. I asked if we are going back to work all in the office come next Thursday and they have no clue so want to join the crowd at home. She was very negative about me working from home although she and the rest are doing it since last week seeing as how my job is 'essential' and worried about not getting the workload done. In a way true, no decent printer so cannot do much more than 50% of my job at home, that is their problem get me a printer, problem solved, can do 100% at home then. Other very very slow lady I work with has no home internet so she either gets laid off or come into work to attempt to do 30% of daily work. Part of the reason am sure is she had to fire one lady today in our dept. working from home goofing off which is nothing new she was hired 6+ months ago and spends 2-3 hours daily on her cell phone doing zippo work in the office sitting right next to the boss. I think the biggest reason is she knows my co-worker older and slower cannot work alone in the office 3 of the 5 days per week and do a decent job without my daily help having to literally babysit her every single day. Yet again, NOT my problem, make her work faster or fire her. I want to force my coworker to do 50% of work vs. 30 percent tops daily and by doing this will force my boss to make a decision which should have been done BEFORE I was even there. WI guidelines state stay at home if entire co. is NOT ESSENTIAL to the economy and somehow HR stated in a letter our co. is essential and is a lie. boss told me today 330 p.m. to call IT to get my computer eqmt. in order and stuff installed to be able to work from home so hope the IT guy can either remotely do it offsite or come into work tomorrow for no matter what taking my stuff home and going to try to install Citrix server on my eqmt. myself NO IT support since they are off site gone now as well. Boss should have done it for me or told me 2-3 days ago to do it told her 2 weeks ago this coming Monday going to work from home like the rest of them. Am thru babysitting my coworker let her sink or swim.

The whole of New Zealand is shut down for 4 weeks....well for now, only essential services are allowed to open, got to stay home unless going to get for or go to the Doc's.....allowed to walk the dog, close to home. Will be the longest I have not been to the workshop since 1987.

Prof Who Predicted 500K UK Deaths Now Says Under 20K Will Die, Peak In Two Weeks Former UK Prime Minister Calls For Global Government To Fight COVID-19 yep peak in 2 weeks seems like just this Friday the case count around me has near doubled and near doubled the deaths as well although very, very few like 10 or so in WI as of yesterday. Sort of like winning the lottery 1 in million chance but still a lottery I would not want to win. My wife told me to tell my boss going against WI orders to STAY HOME NOT ESSENTIAL CO and putting my family at risk of dying by going into work does my company want to pay when someone dies because of going into work when not ESSENTIAL. self isolation is probably needed the next 2 weeks to help flatten the curve/spread hugely makes sense. Not sure either of my co or wifes can survive though if over 1 month at home. Wife got word yesterday that NO raises this year for anyone already and I know at my work cash flow incoming is very, very restricted since I post it all day long knowing the exact income numbers. Would not surprise me if my co. announces NO raises since raises due April 1st (last year HR dragged their feet until mid June and was piddly raises as usual) Only way I am staying at work though long term say 2-3 more weeks being past 2 prior weeks, I am about 1 of about 5 total in the entire company still working in the office vs. 500+ staying at home, is if the CFO comes up to me and says I am ESSENTIAL to come into work (and give me that 5 dollar per hour raise I deserved to begin with since the co-worker I replaced was making that much more ).. If our company was ESSENTIAL to stay open, then why did they shut down the entire operating plant in house this Wednesday? Another way to look at this pandemic issue is guess be glad still got a job, but for how long? Hearing from others I know that they all know someone who use to work and does not anymore NO or very limited income. So that 2400 stimulus check married filing joint is really a drop in the bucket for those with no weekly income will not last long few months is all. Unemployment at around 60% of normal income is NOT a long term good thing to be on been there done that as well and prefer not to go back to it long term ever again.

I get to go to the office, I guess the government wants me to process the paperwork so they can get their tax money in.
Just for general information, it would be a good idea to get your tax returns filed as soon as possible. Many have refunds coming and those will not be sent out until the paperwork is filed. Even if you don't have a refund and need to send a check, you can file the paperwork and send the money later with no interest or penalty.
By not filing you are giving the crooks and hackers more time to file a fake return using your social security number. This really screws up your ability to file and put the burden of proof on you to prove who you are. Yes it is screwed up, they don't have to prove squat to file a false return and get a fake tax refund but you have to jump through a whole series of hoops to get it straitened out.

While I usually work from home, we're an oil and gas producer in Texas and Oklahoma, and therefore deemed a 'Critical Business' under the new stay at home order. Yesterday our CEO sent employees a letter stating they may travel to and from work to support critical operations. This needs to be carried when traveling in case we get stopped and questioned by law enforcement.
I never dreamed you could be ordered to show documentation in order to travel in the USA.

Yeah flu season is coming up still, we should be right but you never know, a little worried as my son has immune deficiencies, also my daughter is now a nanny in London..... but her family has moved out to the country for now, its making her job hard as the parents are working from home and she has 2 little ones too entertain with little in the way of toys to keep the busy while the parents work.

after appeasing the 2 bosses coming in for month end ending on Friday to get almost all done for cash flow purposes, I took all my PC eqmt. home and set it all up today. It works! good to go thru April 24th since CEO sent out company wide email they are following the Governor of WI orders to stay home thru April 24th the next 4 weeks or so or even longer? NOt only will I be less apt to catch from others since greater cases in Madison WI very large city and I usually shop 1 day after work per week and get gas, etc. there since cheaper, but NO gas expense either saving about 100 bucks in 1 month not driving into work plus NO headache of idiots on the road and less wear and tear and about 1400 less miles on my car in 1 month. BAd thing is after next week I could be driving 2 wheels into work but oh well, can survive another 1 month not riding cycle much at all I guess, still pretty cold mid 30s in the morning for temps. boss told me I better work from home being monitored like she works from home hard? NEVER ! She is such a _itch! I would LOVE to see my boss or bosses boss making 3-4x's my salary do my job duties for 1 week, could not do it that I know even after training them for over 1 month or more.
