I went for a ride today.  It was only about a forty mile loop but I did it in a tee shirt.  Temps were in the high sixties so it had to be done.  The roads were not crowded even though the time was normally what we call rush hour.

I did pass a few deer carcasses.  One was headless.  I wondered how disconcerting it must have been for the people in the car to see a headless deer come running out into traffic.  It's understandable he was hit having no eyes to guide him.

I came across this again in my reading.  It encouraged me, maybe especially in a line or two.  I was disappointed to hear that the governor of Colorado had quoted a part of it.  I hope it will be encouraging to someone else during these stressful times.

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;

A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;

A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;

A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;

A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Carl,

Amazing, isn't it, how our view of the world, of life itself, changes when we're astraddle our rides! Nothing I've ever found can elevate my thoughts, lift my spirits, and improve my overall sense of things like a dose of wind therapy... Sounds like you had a very good 'session'! Glad you got out... glad you shared the experience with us, too.

Shows how ignorant I am. I only knew it as a Byrd's song.  Embarrassed
