Bugs while ridin. I wuz wurkin some curves and while I never saw the critter varmit He/she/it tried Valiantly too git further up my left nostril BUT the cannula was already There. Fairly certain the critter had no idea what reverse is.  Finally a short straight and block the right nostril so as to move more air thru the left nostril. No joy.  Lips Sealed Just before Really needing Both hands on the controls and the little sumbitch departed my personal breathing apparatus.  2funny I've had bugs up both nostrils at one time or another but Not since i started ridin with Oxygen near on 3 year ago.
Right at 141 miles today. Sunday afternoon high 60s low 70s breezy and the lack of cages wuz noticeable. NOT a complaint But lack of econo boxes made fer a mucho Better RIDE I M H O. Also surprised at the lack of scooters out and about. In that 141 miles maybe 3 4 scoots were observed.    A                   Also the 2 different wally wurlds i wuz in the lots were mostly empty-even towards the front. And I parked right up front at Aldi. All in All a GOOD day to ride!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Dennis,

I hear ya, amigo! Bugs and boogers can be such a bother in our nostrils... and an unsafe distraction while carving curves... Glad to hear things worked out well, and your breathing was not long impaired. Ride and snort on, my friend!

O2S, when I started riding many moons ago, I had the privilege of stopping a June Bug between the eyes at 60 mph.  Nearly caused me to crash, got her shut down and sat there till eyes quit watering and brain could refocus.    Made the decision that a face mask was needed.

Since that decision, only a few of those critters have ever gotten past that plastic, and non have made it up my nose.   Just saying.

The W/S is a bit taller than stock height and on a helmet buffeting thread I had commented that it Does move the bulk of the air flow over my half shell helmet. Far as hard shell bugs go I've been drilled by a few. Tween the lowest portion of the front of my helmet and and the top of my near goggle like shades there is Maybe one inch of skin uncovered. What kind of targeting system do some hard shelled bugs have to zero in on that small exposed are right above the nose danged ner dead center and twice in about 45 minutes? I had pulled over after the first hit to collect myself and dry the water in my eyes. Back in da breeze and BAM danged near the same place as the other one hit. Might could have been a relative gittin even?  Lips Sealed Bug hits Are a part of the Ridin Experience!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Doesn't work for me - I like to be LEADING the cages, not in their wake - smoother airflow... Smiley

I've been hit at seventy plus in the face by large bugs, small rocks, lots of smaller bugs and a bird.  It's never comfortable but not the end of the day.  I've not stopped for any of them although I probably should have for one.

One of the most interesting was while I was wearing a full face with the visor opened.  I was whistling as I rode.  It obviously followed the flow of the air, but what a tiny target!  It went through the small whistling orifice.  The first I was aware was when it hit the back of my throat.

We ride in the wind.  It's part of the experience.
