Started to break out in a sweat.  Thought about taking my temp. Holy crap I never take my temp. Now I m thinking about that weird guy that wouldn’t maintain six feet of separation at Walmart last week. Then I checked the AC. It was off and it was 81 degrees in here. I haven't got the window unit out for my wife and my bedroom yet (1950's house, was NOT designed for central air). Figure in the next 6-8 weeks I'll be putting it back in until the end of October (so we can sleep in the summer / heat).

Scooper, after running the heck out of my central air to cool an upstairs (always hot) bedroom for years, I finally put in a small window unit in the bedroom, and close the doors (to hall and bath).  Set the whole house up at night but sleep in cool wonderfullness.

I started taking the window unit out every winter to save wear and tear, but (at least for me) it is a real PITA to get it all sealed, bugproofed and insulated into that window every spring.  So I quit pulling it out some 8 years ago, and don't cover it, just clean the filter, and it just keeps going like the energizer bunny.

For the reasonable cost of my small window unit, it's worth not having to do all the crap to bug and insulate proof it, out and in, every year.  YMMV.

LOL!  If they're right about the virus not thriving in higher temps it may be a good idea to keep that AC off.   Wink

Evan, if you still have a cough after all this time you got to find a way to get the test. (If you have to fudge a couple answers to questions, so what !)

they are not testing anyone unless severe fever and severe cough and breathing issues.  The tests for this virus are not enough for all to be tested having a shortage.

Ever since I started taking Lisinopril for blood pressure 20 years ago, I have a little cough.  Never been an issue until now.  Every time I cough heads look up.  Seems like any little sniffle and it's time to get tested.  As Britman so eloquently phrased it,  "this coronavirus crap be getting real."

You think coughing is bad, try having sinus issues. We’re a family of somewhat chronic allergies, nose blowers and sinus drip. I take a Zyterc almost everyday to keep things mellow.

I hear you - I take the morning 120mg Sudafed to keep my sinuses and ears from blocking up with fluid.

I'm not sure if I've had side effects from Lisinopril.

A different prescription will make the cough go away.

Serk,

Funny how our 'social dynamics' are being impacted these days... huh...? I share your concern for Oss; however... he is one wise dude, and when he thinks it's time... he will find a way.

This time of the year my allergies kick in big time, so have a stuffy nose, some drips, and cough.  But then also get those systems wind a snow storm is coming during the winter.

Really wouldn't mind if our temps were a little bit lower than your 80 degree mark and need to check out the AC.   Right now we are expecting the dreaded White Stuff coming down again for today.  May get warmer and drier Thursday.
