https://www.politico.com/states/new-jersey/story/2020/04/02/murphy-authorizes-state-police-to-commandeer-medical-supplies-in-coronavirus-fight-1270929

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed an executive order Thursday authorizing Col. Pat Callahan, the State Police superintendent, to commandeer medical supplies and equipment needed to combat the worsening coronavirus pandemic.

Murphy signed an executive order last week requiring businesses throughout the state to provide the state with an inventory of the supplies and equipment they have. (similar to give me a list of who owns guns) His latest order gives Callahan to authority to commandeer supplies and equipment that hasn’t been donated.

I read that article today and was not too surprised.

What makes me curious is the staggering number of ventilators being produced.

How many will be “lost” once distributed and never recovered. I know hospitals will not have the storage available to store them and even if they do how long until they are in the way, cost too much to store in an offsite facility and forgotten about as well as becoming outdated and unusable possibly from lack of proper maintenance.

that NY governor has many in storage which he is saving for later.  this was reported last wk.  haven't seen a follow up.

The government ventilaters that were issued had many not working. Is this a case of the lowest bidder.
They will probably blame it on Trump.

Interesting indeed, especially coming from the most indebted state in the union.

2020:  New Jersey has the highest amount of debt in the country.  The state’s total liabilities total $199.02 billion, surpassing its assets by $132.6 billion.  New Jersey’s debt ratio is 279.9%.  The largest source of debt is the state’s unfunded pension and benefits system for public employees.

It's what democrats do (sorry to say).

Not condoning his behavior in any way, shape or form but last I checked owning guns is a constitutional right.

Absolutely. Like I said I don't condone it!  But if I had a big stash of masks just sitting around, I might consider letting them go without much resistance to help my fellow man.   Don't think I'd consider letting my guns go.

I could have no possible idea what those particular individuals would ever talk about amongst themselves.

Other than taking people's money or guns or freedom away, raising taxes, and hating DJT.  But it's just a guess.

The statement was "give me a list of who owns guns".  Getting the list is a first step.  No one mentioned "taking" the guns yet.

That's probably wise.  That wouldn't go over very well in Colorado!
