I was sitting in Menards parking lot on the phone with my brother. Out came two women with masks and gloves. They got into an SUV and wiped down the door handles steering wheel and door interior. I could only see the driver. She then threw the wipe on the ground.
This is where I lost it. I walked up to her SUV , knocked on the drivers window , pointed to the ground at the wipe. She immediately did not speak English. Pick up the wipe , there is a garbage can right over there. She finally opened the door and picked it up.
Then the other woman got out and came at me , she pulled off the mask and yelled louder than me.
you can't dis respect my mom like that. I responded , your mom dis respected me by littering.
I turned my back and walked away. Daughter kept yelling. A store customer gave me the thumbs up .
She yelled at me again and I turned and looked at her , shook my head and walked back to my truck.

Littering always pisses me off.

Littering with what you just maybe wiped off C virus with or your gloves, really pisses me off.

They all should be made to eat their litter (or clean up five miles of crap).

Well done there Ross.   cooldude

What do you bet it went out the window right around the corner?

I am reluctant to have such confrontations as they can go south (and I started it).

Excuse me, you just littered.  I have your plate number and here is my phone with your picture/plate on it.  Either pick it up or I'm calling the police, and I'll be a very good witness.

I thought you kept your cool just fine calm and collected.

I would have told her to F off _itch as well.

Wife and I went into a store late aftenoon getting a few things and guy and gal were sitting in their vehicle in parking lot both smoking and hear I see window rolled down part way a cigarette butt flung out the window by the guy in passenger front seat.  I looked at him he looked at me as I walked by and I just gave him a shitty look like what an _ss for littering.

do cars still have ashtrays anymore?  some do not right?

I lost it once some 15+ years ago or so in dentist chair, wife sleeping in our minivan at the time front passenger seat.  lady in junker minivan pulled up slammed her door on my wifes front passenger side van door chipping the paint.  Wife came in to tell me, I got out of dentist chair confronting her in parking lot she denying it.  I called 911 cops showed up and she lied saying I hit her for I was not going to let her drive off leaving seen of the accident standing in front of her van door stating to move me if want to get in her vehicle was NOT going to happen.  Cop smirked a little said to _itch show me where I hit her  she then backed off her fib with me telling cop if I hit her she would not be standing upright now.  Cop told me to chill telling me I cannot stop her from leaving the scene of her accident she caused even if was minor.  I said maybe she should not have a drivers license - LOL  I got police report stating she opened her van door hit my van door and her insurance coughed up the dough not getting my insurance involved.

Couple years ago I was in a Walgreen's parking lot waiting on my wife to come out.
Saw a car pull up loaded with burdens on our welfare system.
Rear window rolled down and out comes a dirty baby diaper onto the parking lot...window rolls back up.  There was a garbage can right in front of the car!

If I had a glove handy,  I would have picked it up and smeared it all over their front windshield

reminds me of a few years back my neighbors dog kept shitting on my yard (like 8-10 spots) and got fed up with it after I stepped in it mowing the yard with my shoes and wheels of my push mower.  I stopped mowing,  got a flat shovel,  flung it into his yard and a big glob of it stuck to his vinyl siding of his garage about 4 feet up.  I bet he wondered how poo would get up there so high?   I just wanted to fling it into his backyard, never knew poo would stick that well to vinyl siding...        Yeah he told what had happened/was happening and he told me I'll be right back I'm gonna go be an azz. He must have put the phone down in his truck but I heard most of it. I also was surprised by his restraint. Course these days you go slappin folks around a bit too many cell phone cameras about. I've seen disposable diapers everywhere when I was drivin truck. I would have liked at one time to be there when a diaper is tossed on the ground from a parked vehicle then pick it up and spresd the contents on their windshield and door handles.  Evil And this stuff goin on now Will Only git WORSE!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.

reminds me of a few years back my neighbors dog kept shitting on my yard

An old neighbor, across the street (who I didn't care for) use to walk his dog by my house so the dog could do his business.

I caught him one day & said... so it's YOUR dog.

He laughed & in a condescending voice said.. "yeah what are you going to do about it?"

I waited another few days, then shoveled up all that stuff & placed it in his mail box.

While mowing the lawn later that day, I was able to witness his reaction while checking his mail.. priceless !

He stopped walking his dog by my house though.

I'm not a fan of crowds, never have been.   I also try to avoid confrontations if possible but, there are some things worth getting involved in especially during times like what are having now.

Dumping trash and expecting someone else to pick up your trash/crap is despicable and needs to be addressed.    I won't pretend to be sin free but, I always try to consider my actions and how they effect others.

One of my biggest pet peeves is folks using handicapped parking when they obviously don't need to.   Most could obviously use the extra exercise of walking a few more steps.   I have noticed a lot of additional trash in shopping center parking lots.    I'm uncertain if putting more trash containers out would do any good.   It seems, a lot of people simply don't care how their actions or lack there of affects others.

I personally think your headline is wrong, I would put it I had a moment of successful social justice. I think you handled yourself just fine and you got your point across without yelling. To me thats a win win congrats on the job well done. Sometimes in life you just have to speak up.

I told a woman to get off her cell because she was texting while driving on the interstate and we both got off and pulled up to a red light. The profanity laced rant that she let out was just what I expected. People today feel the need to defend themselves in what ever action they do regardless if its wrong. They dont accept responsibility for wrong doing, it comes from the society we live in.

I was at Menards on Monday and it was nice that they had wipes by the shopping carts which I used but when I put the cart away there were some used wipes left on the carts and others on the ground.
I don't understand all this littering

It seems to be that some just think they are entitled. In addition to the increase in littering I have noticed a huge increase in people taking stuff out of their carts and just putting it wherever. Everyday we find frozen and refrigerated stuff out on the aisles.

That's a pet peeve of mine too. I don't work retail but I see it when I shop sometimes. For example, food in the clothing dept at Walmart. Or like you said food in an aile it doesn't belong in. I would assume if you found frozen food in say the bread aisle you would have throw the away?

Another peeve is people NOT putting the cart in the cart corral. I was sitting in Kroger's parking lot waiting for my wife the other evening and I watched a woman and her adult daughter load their trunk with groceries in the handicapped parking spot. They left the cart in the blue hash spothe next to theirs. The corral was three spaces away. Pure laziness....

Yes, I’ve personally had to toss close to $200 worth of products in the last couple weeks. They don’t seem to care one little bit. It is nice when a fellow customer sees it and brings it to me before we have to throw it away.

200 bucks worth of meat is not too much considering beef around me is 5 bucks per lb. or more depending on the cut,  but still not sensible wastes.  People are slobs and even lazier than me,  that is for sure.  Cry

that person pitching his used cigarette out the car window at the grocery store parking lot walking by even pissed me off 2 days ago.    yah, I know,  newer cars do not have ashtrays anymore in them.

I've mentioned this before but seems like a good time to revisit this. On top of the grape vine-I-5-in California they put in a Flying J truck stop. Pulled in got a spot and went beddy bye bye. Got outa the bunk and into drivers seat and noticed a long hood Pete just about directly across the aisle from me. On the line between the parking spaces is a large-55 gal?-trash barrel. This person in the Pete rolls down drivers window and throws a wally wurld sized bag full of trash onto the pavement.  uglystupid2 I mean just How stupid do one have too be to do that chit? Go to Any T/S here in the U S of A in the morning after most trucks leave and before the cleaning crews start.  Lips Sealed
Yesterday at wally wurld in West Plains lotsa parking available BUT paper towels and handi wipes and rubber gloves were evident all over the lot. Talked to one of the cleanin crew and she informed it had Indeed gotten worse in the last couple weeks. Thinkin here might be a small percentage of folks that are slobs. Least ways anywho I hope it's a small percentage!   Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

Lazy ass people that can not walk twenty feet to put there shopping cart in the rack. Then they put trash in them. Different parts of states the public keeps there roads cleaner then others. I spent 25 years in west central Tx. clean  ditches and now live in east Tx. 20 miles south of I30 what a mess along the roads.

I always love when I drive through my subdivision and find a Fast food bag full of garbage dumped right in the center of the road.  When I'm retired and can't sleep, I may just sit out on the front pouch and watch for the A-holes.  Those and the ones that walk through and check the cars on the street for unlocked doors, and then steal whatever is inside.  I find it hard to believe that people don't lock their cars when parked on the street.

I'm so sick of humanity, that I'm not really minding this quarantine think.  I like hanging with dogs more so than most people.
