Will soon need a rear rotor.
There was mention made here a while back that a rotor from an ST-1300 will fit. The local Honda parts guy looked it up and said no-go.
Other than EBC what would be a good source for a rear rotor that would allow me to retain my arms and legs?

I went with EBC rotors both ends & haven't looked back.

Also, use EBC pads and I love em......

have a 98 standard
thanks to Kingbee, I now suspect there are different rotors and I'll have to my homework and find out the difference between years or models or such so I can get the correct one.
Contrary to the opinion of more than a few-I am not to old to learn- just didn't want to have to.

By the way, ever notice how few Harley models have floating rotors? My old Honda has 'em and a hydraulic clutch to boot.
Where is the progress?

The ST1100 rotor and the older valkyrie rear wheel's rotor is the same,  PN 43251 MT8-000

I was the one that said ST1300 which is what I was told it was off! but didn't verify the # until now. St1100. Good thing you checked.

Standard     1997 - 1999  Rear Brake Rotor is 43251-MT8-000
Standard     2000 - 2003  Rear Brake Rotor is 43251-MBY-671

Tourer        1997 - 1999  Rear Brake Rotor is 43251-MT8-000
Tourer        2000            Rear Brake Rotor is 43251-MBY-671

Interstate   1999 - 2001  Rear Brake Rotor is 43251-MBY-671

Thanks to Daytona for making my quest for knowledge (ie. learning) so simple!
Will be rotor shopping today.
