Immunizations & Communicable DiseasesMy niece, an RN specialized in Immunizations and Communicative Diseases in rural Amish communities in Michigan's rural " thumb" area. She has been visiting Amish people that cling together and do not visit hospitals, immunizing them for the past 10 years. A mostly thankless job... Yep, just found out, She's got the 'rona virus. Melissa is ~50yo. She's my niece and is on 02 in hospital Bay City MI, no ventilator. Pleas, Keep her in your thought, Thanks, GiG |

Thank you one and thank you all, we greatly appreciate all the positive thoughts! Melissa has always, as a nurse, looked to help the underserved rural Amish community. Let’s just say, social distancing means something different there. Thanks again, she will see this and know the outpouring of this club towards her. She has a beautiful group behind her that she mostly did not know about  |

She is seeing a lot of the effects of the virus and is asking everyone to Please Stay Home.

How is her condition now, recovering her strength?
Any idea from where so got the Wuhan virus, my concern would have been the community she was in and the possible spread there?

She was released from the hospital and is at home - thanks for all the good wishes! Yes, she is special to do what she does. I don't think we know where she contracted the virus, but she did a lot of in-home visits in the Amish community in rural areas, so its hard to say. I can't wait for these stupid cooties to die off! Binkie: Yes, she claims me - I'm her favorite uncle. Don't know if she'd attend the YOOPER, but we'll see, she's very social and outgoing. Loves to laugh. She's also 6' tall, if you are thinking you got a shot...  Thanks again to all! |
