This gal reminds me of you in many ways. Take a look at this video and see if you don't agree.

Pappy,

Yeah, she definitely gets it! She does a far better job than I do of trying to convey the essence of that choice, but my experience closely coincides with hers... It has been life changing, life enhancing, and extraordinary in every way!!! Notice her interactions with 'strangers' too... Among of the best aspects of that journey are the unexpected contacts with 'characters'... Simply amazing!!!

Good Triumph ad too.  coolsmiley Happy Easter Weekend to you all.  angel smitten

It's excellent.

But Bruce is actually alone in most of his adventures.

This girl has a Director of Photography and a Photographer along for the ride.

At least for the video parts.

Not to take anything away from her, she's living the life. cooldude

It's a nice video and I'm sure she's having a good time but she's not the motorcycle gypsy that our DDT is.  At least in the shots shown she's carrying no luggage.  If she truly is traveling long distances her support crew is carrying her gear.  There is a special adventure to traveling long distance alone on one's motorcycle thatincludes carrying one's own stuff and being one's own support.

And then you have this dude that packs way too much for a road trip. In my mind better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Temp's in the 90's when we left The Great State Of Tennessee.  Picture taken outside Ouray , Colorado on The Million Dollar Highway.

I used to believe it was better to have it and not need it, than it was to need it and not have it... Then, I realized I could find just about anything out yonder that might become necessary, so... I wound-up caring way too much stuff anyway, but I almost never had exactly what was needed when required... Go figure!

I have been blessed many times by having a great supporting crew along... Folks like Troutdude, t-man403, SmokinJoe, Lucky13, MitchO, Big Wolf, Misfit, and so many others!!! Once I was broke down but had a dozen or more Colorado riders with me... There were so many working on our girl at the same time, I couldn't get within ten yards or so of her... Good folks are definitely something to bring along!!!

I remember that day well. My wife, and I were following you on I-70 (Bruce on an Interstate! I know!) when your bike shutdown, then magically got going again just long enough to get to a gas station. That's Ali taking care of you Wink

I even found a picture of my wife contributing..

In her defense she too couldn't have come within 10 feet of your bike.

When I was packing for our ride to Yellowstone last summer my buddy thought I was crazy for insisting that we pack our Gerbings.

Leaving Pinedale, WY headed for Yellowstone with temps in the 30's and it spitting snow, he was glad to have them.

I was really glad to have them riding over Beartooth Pass at night.
