This seems like kind of a generic question.. I usually have at least a dozen batteries hanging around in different types of machinery which may not be used very often.. I use a switched outlet to power several 'yard sale' chargers which I connect in parallel to several batteries at a time..  12v batteries are connected to 12v chargers and 6v batteries are to 6v charger settings.. I turn them on every few months and let them charge for a few hours or overnight depending on when I remember to shut them off.. Oh, I leave them installed.. I don't remove batteries until they need to be replaced, which really isn't very often.. I think I got 9 or 10 years out of the Valkyrie battery so the replacement is only a couple years old..

1. do you use tickle charger? Yes, only when the bike is parked for more then a few weeks.
2. do you take battery out or leave in when charging? I leave it in. I have an external 12V Cig outlet I plug into that is direct to the battery (fused).
3. do you set t. charger or battery tender to 6 volt or 12 volt? 12V, setting to 6 on a 12V battery is a bad idea, your battery will try and charge the charger. You may not damage the charger, but you certainly won't be charging anything.
4. Life of your current battery? 5 years on one 3 on my backup, one is always being charged.
5. type of battery use? Stock, Yeasu?
6. do you have more than two accessories? Yes, Fogg lights, CB, GPS, iPod and approx 250 12v Blue LEDs.

Just as an FYI, Sealed Lead Acid batteries lose about 1% per month when left idle. More in hot climates less in cold.

Best  regards,

Glenn

Haven't heard of a tickle charger, but it sounds like fun.....got a link?  angel
YES, up to four Batter Tenders (Jrs and Plus), 24 X 7 year round when I am not riding (for years), only unplug to ride.

2. do you take battery out or leave in when charging?   Always in.

3. do you set t. charger or battery tender to 6 volt or 12 volt?  12, obviously

4. Life of your current battery?    10, 8, 7 and 5 respectively.....have not lost a battery (or a Battery Tender) yet under full time charge, though the ten-year-old one has a replacement sitting ready to go in.

5. type of battery use?  (only OE Yuasa)

6. do you have more than two accessories?  (Yes)

You probably should have also asked cold or warm Winters.  Cold.

1. Battery Tender Jr.  Hook it up once in Dec/Jan.  Again in March prior to going for first ride of season.
2. Leave it in the scoot.
3. 12V
4. Second Battery.  2 or 3 (?) years
5. OEM

1. do you use tickle charger?  Yes...Battery Tender Jr. when bike will be parked for more than a few days.

2. do you take battery out or leave in when charging?  Leave it in all winter, garage is unheated and goes below freezing often in the winter in southwest PA

3. do you set t. charger or battery tender to 6 volt or 12 volt?  Only 1 setting on Battery Tender Jr...12 Volt

4. Life of your current battery?  6-7 years.  I got the Battery Tender at the same time as the battery.  Before using Battery Tender, I have never had a motorcycle battery last more than 3 years.  So they work, in my opinion.

5. type of battery use?  OEM Yuasa

6. do you have more than two accessories?  Yes...GPS, handlebar stereo system with 150 watt amp running my ipod, trailer light wiring harness, and soon to add Gerbings.
