In the video I watched, the guy just removed the 3 screws and turned the green part in the mounting (front) bracket. Looked REAL easy. Mine doesn't want to budge.  Undecided  The only thing that wants to move is the rear cover that the wires go to. I really don't want to screw up my brand new alternator. Anyone know how to loosen it up?

I think the stator(green part) has to be pried away from the front housing in order to turn in sync with the rear housing, pull it out too far and the brushes will pop out of their holders and more disassembly will be needed.

Ended up getting my brother to help. I held it and he twisted with some big honkin' pliers.  Shocked  It's frustrating when you watch a video and it looks so easy and then when you try...

Anyway, it's in and working properly!  cooldude
