After a hard day at work, some spaghetti and some Andy Griffith.

I guess I married a simple girl. This is what she was watching when I got home.

never growing up a big fan of Little House on the Prairie nor say Partridge family, but I did watch the Brady Bunch and as most on here still do watch MASH reruns some 30+ years later, even watched Gilligans Island but more so because of the 2 hotties on there.

I like the Andy Griffith show.

Except, over time like in many long running series, certain characters began to grate on my nerves.  In the Griffith show, it was Barney and Aunt Bee.  After awhile, their shtick got old and very repetitive.  My mom attended WVU in Morgantown at the same time as Don Knotts (though he was an upperclassman) (and his first name was also Jesse).

But I love every episode with Earnest T. Bass in it (only 5).  (Howard Morris, a classically trained Shakespearean actor)

Here is Earnest T. in a 1954 Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows sketch, before A Griffith.

Andy Griffith Show...my favorite TV show of all time (Gunsmoke is a close second). Brings back all the fond memories of my childhood growing up in Nelson BC in the late 50's through to the early 70's. Similar small town with a similar off the grid lifestyle and a much simpler time, which is why this show still resonates with me today.

Lots of great old western (and other) movies and TV series on You Tube...many in good resolution and most with no commercials. All the best oldies are there if you search, which is why I don't miss having cable/satellite TV for the amount I watch.
One thing about the older TV shows and movies...there was always something left to one's imagination and interpretation, which I think is why a lot of them remain appealing all these years later. Today's movies and shows are so realistic and graphic, there's no mystery or imagination left.
