Very Nice!

Creative, no doubt about it.

But how about in front of the bike; the background is kind of distracting because it is of really nothing spectacular.

You have a gift for gab and in this format it is working.

Looking forward to the next one.

I've been thinking about doing it outside with the bikes but I film mostly at night after work (except for the riding videos.)  I'll have to play with lighting.

Hey Alien, not being critical of you personally here.. I find myself backing my head up as I watch YT videos where the camera is too tight. It's like a virtual 'space invasion', if someone on the street was talking that close to me I'd be backing away to the 3' mark.

It's funny what you said about Harley riders, here in So Cal it seems everybody is on the same 'cool train'. It reminds me of the what the villain says in The Incredibles animated movie, "when everybody's super, nobody's super".. I often remark to my lady, when everybody's cool, nobody's cool. They all look like clones and the GD straight pipes scream, 'HEY, LOOK AT ME!!', when in reality, people aren't impressed, likely they're thinking 'ah sheez, another wannabe jerk-off'.. at least that's what's in my mind bubble Haha.

I actually get a lot of attention from younger millennials, they seem to dig the Valkyrie and seeing an older guy on it who doesn't give a flip about looking cool, like it's a novelty.

Lastly, are you a dentist? I'd kill for choppers like those!

I personally avoid the term, biker, for myself as I simply do not do some of the things a lot of people expect of a "biker".  I'm a rider, a motorcyclist or simply a man who spends time in the wind.

What I saw in the video was someone pretending he knows a lot about everybody and explaining that people who do what he doesn't like are obviously fake.  It seems to me the presenter is a bit full of himself and has his own definition of what a biker is.  That definition primarily being someone just like him.

I did find it interesting that he listed one of the traits as brand bashing but then repeatedly let slip his disdain for Harley riders.

Perhaps he just needs to get himself out into the wind a bit more.

There’s a lot of “bikers” who buy a bike to play dress up and ride to the bar. I don’t hold it against them just as I don’t expect the fact I ride an inferior Honda to lessen my “cred” amongst them. I’m sure they don’t care what I think and I definitely don’t care what they think.  They’ll all get a wave from me if I meet them on the road. If they don’t wave back, who cares.  cooldude

I’ve been enjoying your videos Alien.

I am one of those people who have pulled my 800lb. bike into an angled stall front tire first not backing it up rear tire to the curb.  ONLY twice though have I had to have someone else help push it backwards front tire downward a little bit too much.

I sometimes back up into the angled parking but if fairly level,  I can push uphill my 800lb. bike or any other bike I own 95% of the time, except when over say a 15 degree angle downward or loaded down side bags and top bag full of stuff.

Is pretty embarrassing though the 2 times I needed help one was pretty bad me not thinking when pulling in and soon after saying NOW what the F am I going to do?   uglystupid2

Funny thing about “backing a bike into a Parking lot”.

I was on a ride with 4 HD guys in the Hill country here in Texas.

We stopped at a restaurant and were we parked was uphill.

I pulled my bike “head-in”, got off, pulled off my helmet and Jacket, and ended up waiting for the other guys while they struggled to back in their HDs!
One guy was short so we had to help push his in (I’m thinking, “boy, I bet people watching must really think this is cool”)!

When we left I just released the brake a little and let gravity do the rest, rolled back, put it in gear and took off.

And all this time I thought them backing their bikes UPHILL to park was stupid, until I saw this video!

Ok. I wasn’t planning on responding. But I have to say. I welcome comments on my bike. Don’t always get them and I don’t ride to ONLY places where I think people like bikes a lot. I wear my biker vest always so if that makes me a fake biker, so be it. I love riding and I’ll ride with almost anyone. I do think more Harley riders are posers than riders of any other brand, that’s just my observation. I ride to please ME. I don’t care what you think, it’s none of my business. BTW. My whitewall tire made it back and a Cobra Chrome black wall rear is on its way so I can show up at a bike night with the coolest tires, that’s the only reason I spend lots of money on expensive tires uglystupid2

I am someone who commutes to work on a motorcycle on the most dangerous roads in the country,
have been hit in traffic and not gone down but have gone down a few other times,
ridden thousands of miles to see friends and eat BBQ
including 15 hrs to see what the hell a Yooper is just last year.

My skills are nowhere as good as some, better than many who ride to the bar or ice cream store but then again I have many Harley riding friends who can smoke me anytime they just grew up on 2 wheels I started in 2001. Never rode dirt bike and do not like gravel and stream beds

But I ride because I can not imagine NOT riding and enjoying my life

ATGATT

Funny video Alien, like the colorful language comparisons (simile or mataphor I get them mixed up)

Know quite a few who look at me funny when I say I want to ride to see the Pacific or go somewhere just because.  But I dont have the TIME you do now for those long rides. Hopefully soon and in good health to ride with more of you

The posers. Dangerous animal. Mucho bravado, little skill. Drag their 40k bike out a couple weekends during the season for poker runs or a ride way beyond their skill set. That is my main issue with the poser type.

Alien, I'm liking your videos - you're capturing (in your style) the essence of your experiances in motorcycling. Anyone who watches them and is a REAL motorcyclist can chuckle to themselves when they had that aw -s__t moment, or that embarrassing episode when they learned something the hard way (ain't experiance a bitch sometimes ? Smiley ). Keep them coming. I'd like to ride with you if we're ever together in the same place at the sametime.

Man there are a lot of thin skinned folks lately.
Alien is just having a bit of fun and trying to keep US entertained during this Kung Flu, with many people being locked down.
We all have opinions, and I for one have for the most part enjoyed his video's (when I get a chance to watch them).
The best I can tell he is not intending to offend anyone, hes just trying to provide some entertainment, and poking fun.

Suggest you get out on your bikes and POSE for a few miles.  Grin I know I will as soon as I get the next chance.

I find it interesting that some feel that HD riders don't respect out Valkyries.   As far as waving, think in the few years (12 years)  Valk and I have been together, I can only remember 3-5 times there was not wave coming from the V-twins folks.   Then too, I tend to ride roads where there are not a lot of bikes.   So when you see one, you do wave.

I am reminded of a summer group ride several years ago with a bunch of Wing's, long story on this ride.  We stopped for drinks, pop type, at a hole in the road.   A older true "biker", came up to look at our bikes.  He only paid attention to my Valkyrie, not the shinning new Wings.   He got on his HD and left before us.  Both he and his bike looked like they had seen a lot of miles.

Far as parkin Phatt Ghurl goes I Really try to pay attention when going into a parking area I've never been in before. I Might be able to git my old motocrosser M/C out of a wrong angle-down or uphill azz backwards-BUT NOT Phatt Ghurl. Paying attention when goung into ANY unknown area with an 18 wheeler is ingrained in me and carries over to the cage and Phatt Ghurl. RIDE SAFE.

First 1500 Goldwing I owned, we went to a sports bar restaurant. My bride dis-embarked and took her helmet off. I spun the bike around and started “back peddling” into the parking space. Got the bike situated, got off and as we were walking away, she whispered, why didn't you use the reverse? I whispered back, Not on your life with all the Harley Bikers looking at me! I’d have had my leg fall off first before I’d let them see me using it! Now with my triked Valkyrie, I’m gathering the parts to put reverse into my Valkyrie trike! I’ve learned from someone, it isn’t very hard to do! Grin cooldude

Every HD I owned idled just fine, some a bit rough but never a chance of it dying. But then I never took any to a dealer for work. My favorites had spark advance.

Having said that, I agree that most posers ride the imitation American brand. It makes sense that a poser manufacturer should be ridden by posers.

I took the whole tiraid as a nice chuckle.

From the finger less gloves, to the sleeveless shirts.

I took it all the same as the light Harley bashing that we give a few GW Harley riders, at our weekly GW coffee meet/ride. I actually don't like riding in a group, so if I take my bike there, I usually go home, as I hate riding in the city even more.

But get me out for a short BC day ride of 500 miles are so, and I'm in (all too seldom, but in).

not sure all HD's do not need the revving the snot out of them after starting.  My ex HD neighbor just sold his 2003 ultra classic use to let his HD idle riding it out to the curb to run for 10-20 minutes BEFORE taking off just letting it sit outside NOT on it going back inside the house for ALL to hear his loud potatoe potatoe pipes idling.  More than once, he said it was fuel injected,  the bike died on him after 2-5 minutes of idling sitting out by the curb all by its lonesome.    Why would it die if idling after 2-5 minutes if fuel injected?

some HD's even with fuel injection must be true have to rev the snot out of them to keep them running at idle?   I know if my 2001 Valk I/S if left on FULL choke will NEVER die on me but if left on full choke 15 minutes as my HD neighbor did,  doubt it does any good for the pipes turning colors or flooding the carbs with too much fuel.
