I had a very weak pfoot pfoot on my 97 Bumblebee this spring after read on the red eye site about gel plug I decided to try turning pilot screw out 1/2 turn and put some b12 in fuel drove about 60 miles purrs like kitten and no pfoot now or popping on decal.
I have digi sync and the motion pro tool for adjusting pilot screws. turned screws all way in and back out 1 3/4 turn still sounds good. was going to try idle drop procedure.
BUT my old buddy that was Honda mechanic forever says back in the day they normally just sit to factory specs and it was wonderful. he said ride it and see how it performs.
So my question is if bike running good is the idle drop necessary? is there any disadvantage to this procedure?

I have my 99 carbs out stripped and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned waiting on parts jets are back ordered. I have clean parts everywhere in my shop.

Thanks
jack

Have you looked at this thread: http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,110548.msg1109280.html#msg1109280

After getting the temps really close, the slight unevenness in mine is not only much reduced, but has gotten better with more miles on her.
