So, i was trying to figure out hooking my new iPhone up to the radio on my I/S, and left the key on accessory for 2 days.
So, yeah, deader than Elvis....
Pulled the seat to hook the charger up, and noticed the negative terminal was just caked with the white crud. I don’t remember this crap on a neg. terminal, on any vehicle, just the positive one. Positive one was clean. Cleaned it up put it back together, and charged the battery up. Seems ok, ride tomorrow for the real test.

My question is am I remembering wrong? Could be...lol
Is that crud on the negative terminal a sign of something wrong? (Besides not cleaning)

Thanks, Craig

Craig, I’ve had the negative post get corroded before. But 9 times out of 10 it is the positive post. Don’t have any idea why though.

Have a look at this; note his description of which terminal gets it: https://mechanicbase.com/electric/battery-terminal-corrosion/

Exactly what I was looking for WintrSol!  Good info there.
Battery is 6 years old, been dead twice  Embarrassed. Both my fault and swapped it out with Hook to get us home from VT. last year.
Might be time for a new one before Inzane 20

Thanks,
Craig
