Hey Dusty,
I can't remember which thread you follow so I've placed this on the BC Thread and the PNW thread. I justs purchased a rear tail light for my IS so that I can super Valk her. Could you please send me a few photos of the trunk brackets so I can see how you cut them for quick easy removal. Also maybe share how you wired your girl up so I can tell my Honda service guys what I want done. Thanks
cheers,
paul

Well, I’m not dusty, ok, maybe a little. I’ll shower later. But I supervalked my IS last year. You need to purchase 2 wiring harnesses. Pretty cheap actually. Go to partzilla and buy the tail light harness for a standard or tourer. It comes in 2 sections. Just buy those 2. Wiring the tail light is simple plug and play. As for the brackets for the trunk, here’s how I did mine: https://youtu.be/QNcUTG7YGhg

That's the one I was looking for that you had sent me earlier Greg... Thx.

Paul... you would have to find another source for the wiring harnesses though.... I just received a message from Partzilla as an account holder the other day that they are temporarily no longer accepting orders from outside of the US due to USPS and UPS's current restrictions on international shipping.

Mike

I send all my packages to a freight forwarding service in Blaine. A Canadian company picks them up and transports to Victoria airport. I go to the forwarding company and take paperwork to the custom's office at the airport to pay the duty if applicable. I then pay the forwarding company $18 and go home with my package. it's the cheapest way for me to get packages to the Island.

Thanks for the info guys.
I phoned my Honda service guy and the sub harness is still available from Honda for $20 Cdn so he'll just get it when I go in to have the light installed.
I really like the idea of only cutting one side, especially making the cuts straight down and not having to worry about getting the angle right.
Mike, I'll let you know as soon as the light is installed and perhaps we can get together and figure out how to lose this trunk!
Cheers
