98 Valkyrie here, going through a full resto. I have a difficult time with replacement brake and cutch hoses. I would like to get some black stainless braided lines but no luck.

Even going with original rubber lines, some portions are not available new.

Can you guys recommend any places and brands you have experience with that would have them available (stainless or rubber).

Spiegler. A guy named Matthias helped me order them over the phone.
If they don't have the pattern already, they can make them if you send
them yours. They can make them black, that's what mine are. I got
longer hydraulic lines for an 1800 Valkyrie when I put big handlebars
on it.

You made me look at partzilla... some of the front brake hose is
no longer available  Cry ...

In 2013, I purchased braided stainless steel brake lines for my '82 SilverWing from JDA Enterprises. Very positive experience. I just sent an email explaining that I wanted lines for a 1982 GL500 Interstate and received a price of $75 plus shipping. I called in a credit card number and had the parts within 48 hours, total price of $90 including shipping and sales tax. Seven years ago and a different bike, so your results may vary.

I used Goodridge lines front and back on Ruby, manufactured in and shipped from the UK.  Found'em on eBay, BigBF slapped them on for me.  LOVE THEM!

You can find them in standard black, or in colors.  Mine are stainless by day, glow in dark by night!

Here are the black ones.

I also have the stainless glowing clutch line, just haven't installed it yet.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I also just found kits on Revival Cycles. You buy per foot and make them yourself, too bad they are on back order.

I wished I could make them myself when I was working on my 1800... I wonder
if the fittings are reliable and not clunky?

You could also try a local hydraulic hose supplier. I have had a couple of sets made for some early Goldwings.

I second this.  I just looked the other day out of curiosity. They had the entire line kit in all kinds of colors and options.  I think it was about $250.

I have two sets of Galfer stainless lines - both brakes and clutch - and the next time I have either of my Valkyries down for maintenance for any length of time the OEMs are getting swapped out.

Also have a couple sets of Russells as a backup, but these may eventually get sold.

Are the rears the complete length or just the first 8" or so connecting to the pipe? What I am finding out is that (at least Spiegler) rear lines are just that, the ~8" going from the foot master to the hard pipe. They do not have the last piece going from the hard pipe to the caliper.

Does anyone?

----> Called Galfer, looks like the rear is a total of 52" so I guess it bypasses the pipe. Sounds like a good deal considering Spiegler rear kit is $58 and it only includes the short piece from the master to the pipe.
