I agree. It's an incredibly stupid article. Only a really stupid person would think that the President who has been regularly tested for COVID-19 would need to protect others by wearing a mask. We have been bamboozled into accepting really stupid ideas as if they are meaningful. Wearing a non-surgical mask only meaningful if the wearer is possibly infected and supposedly protecting others from his breath. Why would you post such a stupid article? Did you think there was something that we could learn from such ignorance?  |

The irony is only there if the President was somehow putting others at risk by not wearing a mask. It was an N-95 factory. It struck me that Jimmy Kimmel is as stupid as he has always been. The writer simply piled onto Mr. Kimmel's ignorance. I found it no more humorous than you would find if I posted an article ridiculing how stupid meat cutters can be. Out of respect for my friends who are meat cutters I wouldn't do that. Out of respect for my President I would hope you wouldn't post such trash. You did take an oath. |

Not here. It would violate the rules.  Navy. I hadn't recalled (or looked up) the precise words. We in the Marine Corps were taught that the oath called for respect shown toward the President and those officers appointed over us. Perhaps that's a stretch for some. Many times? Did you count? I didn't say that out of disrespect any more than would you should you simply mentioned that the President must be largely bald. It is what he is. I think the exact wording I used once, or possibly a few times, is that Barrack Obama is at best a Muslim sympathizer. I don't have blind love. Love is a choice. I don't necessarily love the President but I do like much of what he has done for the country. That is intensified for me when I consider the possible alternative. |

I wasn't aware that officers had a different oath. But let there be no question, an enlisted mans oath is to the Constitution also. (And will obey lawful orders) As a Navy Officer I'm sure you will remember the Navy's unwavering loyalty to the Constitution. |
