Are we getting a front row seat to the demise of the country we grew up in and that our fathers and grandfathers fought and sacrificed to defend in two world wars?

I’m not a sky is falling type of person, thinking that we have enough “good” people in positions of power to keep us pulled back from the brink of whatever catastrophe might befall our country. But our response to this “pandemic” has me beginning to doubt our republics security. Since I have not be able to make any rational sense out of the Democratic machines actions for the last generation or so, I’m left to draw conclusions from just what I see and hear on the news.

It seems Pelosi and her minions are now willing to spend us into socialism which of course means at some point taxing the working class into the ground. I’m not letting anyone off the hook though, as the first stimulus had plenty of faults.

I guess what I’m saying is that things just don’t feel right.

I agree with you.  I have felt that way since this "lock down" and endless issuing of "Emergency Declarations" from out Governor here in SC.

I have written to him, expressing my displeasure.  I have written by two representatives in the General Assembly.  Crickets. 

I believe President Trump has sensed this, however, in the "states rights" frame of mind, the states have to take responsibly for their actions.  And we need to hold our states politicians accountable. 

However, that is more easily said than done.  Incumbents have the power.  My option, at the voting booth, is to not vote for an incumbent that has been unfaithful to his oath of office.  But, the choice of not voting for them raises the concern of who will replace him.  Most likely someone from the other party. 

That is the conundrum I am facing. 

The other action is to take to the streets, as legally as possible to show our displeasure with the state of our country and our state. 

But, the worst thing we can do is to be silent.  Politicians do count messages received and numbers do matter.  Write your congressman and representatives.

I tend to agree with your sentiment.

Thinking of the past few months, the thing that I find most disturbing is that the response has us more afraid of each other than the virus.

The hype and hysteria has whipped our society up into a fit of abject terror. Of each other.

We are presented with data and facts in ways that obfuscate or misdirect.

An example. Hydroxycholoquine and Covid.

It works. Works well when applied properly.

We are told that the studies of Hospital patients with Covid 19 show that it has little or no effect.

Seems logical. A Hospital study. And they are true and accurate. But...

But there is a window of opportunity for this drug's use. At the onset of symptoms is best.

The drug doesn't destroy or kill the virus. In fact, it does nothing to the virus. But low doses seem to make one's body resistant to the virus in some way.

But if a person waits till they are so sick that they need hospitalization, the window for the drug's effectiveness rapidly closes. If you get hospitalized due to Covid, the damage is done. Hydroxycholoquin doesn't fix that. Never did.

So a hospital based study on Hydroxycholoquin is useless to use as a basis to conclude anything. For this drug and its application such a study is designed to fail.

Crafted lies.

We have the politicians spending amounts of money that are inconceivable. And then they spend more.

It isn't our money that they are spending. That was lost decades ago. We are now charging the credit card of our great great great great great great great great grandkid's grandkids.

It'll take more than common sense to get us back on track. A revolution perhaps?

Laugh if you will.  This is an unsecured site, anyone can look and see (and this maybe true for a secured site as well).  I would not say anything here I would not say in public.  I am not complaining about site security, just making an observation.  

I made a post comparing the Wuhan Virus (AKA COVID19) to the 1968 H3N2 Pandemic.  I mentioned words to the effect "we did not shut down, we did not hide in our houses, if fact we had a party, Woodstock in 1969".  

Several days later, a paper or a news website made a similar post.  While the notion of looking up past pandemics was, in and of itself, a reasonable thing for a journalist to do, and making comparisons to todays response to COVID19 was logical, the terms and phrases used in the news post were eerily similar.  

Now, the best answer is to say "great minds think alike".  But when I saw the news article I was surprised how the wording seemed to match my own.  

Now, that in and of itself, if true, is actually a good thing.  It suggests that you and I have influence that we were not aware of.  And we need to take advantage of that.

Thanks for that, I had never heard of this, but there is one book that has played out like a script written for a movie and that is the Bible. I have never been so amazed to see the things talked about in the Bible being played out before our eyes in our life time and the way the bible said it would play out.

I wonder how long it will be before things are bad enough that people will cry out for relief under mans rule. Things being so screwed up that many will call for relief and answers and some will have the answers under a one person and one rule world government.

 The virus was man made, the release either by accident or purpose was man made. The rules projections and remedies man made. The Democrats add to this by trying to destroy the government, making regs and rules to pull down the US. They don't care what law they break. Any reason to remove the rights and liberties according to our Constitution, that were God given and transfer those powers to man or the state or at very least to have people lied to and not know their own rights or authority. The fact that the people have the rights and not the ones in government that seem to laud that they rule over all.  

The purpose is to squeeze people into situations so bad that they cry to the government for help. The very same one that today tries to enslave every man woman and child and take their God given rights and dignity for themselves. Then they will offer solutions that make people slaves.

We see it today with masks, vaccines, home confinement, shutting down of businesses, the government paying out trillions to make people dependent on handouts and the government.

 No the end of the US will not come by war but by people giving up rights to be safe and sound and have the government provide for them. It is so evident today that if you can engineer a problem then provide a solution people will follow you.

 Programing, its all about programing, everyone knows these safety measures will really not protect, but many accept them gladly don't they. We didn't flatten the curve and then go on, we have stopped a society by fear, hobbled government with more debt, and taken away more freedom from US citizens and endorsed a mentality of government reliance instead of God and self reliance.

For anyone with a little common sense and self reliance it can be seen clearly. Especially evident in states like California and Michigan and unfortunately mostly Democratically controlled states.  
 
The problems were man made, the solutions and projections were man made, this country and Constitution were man made inspiried and brought forth by God, to me I will stick with Gods rule and reign it seems much better.

B.O..  Bernie.  AOC and full-blown socialism waiting in the wings.  Green Deal.  Sanctuary Cities.  Rampant homelessness.  A novel virus.  Global pandemic.  Now rampant unemployment, impending worldwide recession or God forbid another great depression.

      I'm 75 year old arthritic with high blood pressure and breathing problems and I personally see this Country of Ours goin down the crapper with many of the deez gleefully and gladly flushing as hard and as often as they are capable of. They wanna come and take me away here I iz. They-whoever they are-are free to attempt.  I refuse to go quietly.  When I witnessed pelousy tearing up P O T U S Trumps state of the union speech I thought-wrongly it turns out-it can not git worse than that and what she did. And I was WAY WAY Wrong! At this very moment and when we got the lockdown "orders" I felt then we were on a large loaded coal train headed downhill at an alarmingly fast speed and gaining more speed and the brakes have long since failed and the deez keep feeding the train more throttle and the crash at the bottom appears closer then ever before. But on the udder hand I could be-well most of us here already KNOW the TRUTH. YOUR Truth may NOT be my Truth But you already KNOW. RIDE SAFE. While you can.

So, if you wish to take a stand, you are guilty of prolonging the lock down.
