This is not a case of the rights and wrongs of lockdown rules........ just some pics for content

Lock down levels 4 had essential riding only (to and from work) for those essential workers...... Level 3 trades back to work (incl me), still only essential riding so not worth riding 1/3 of a mile to work, the beaches opened for exercise/ surfing and shore line fishing .....
now in level 2 pretty much back everyone working with space, just no external flights.... and most importantly Riding for pleasure ok

these pics are the last couple of weekends

On the bright side, it looks like you have lots of elbow room!  This, too, shall pass!  Eventually.

Beautiful area you live in!   cooldude

Beautiful photos Leathel...thx for posting. Sure is nice to see others sharing pics of their riding experiences and territories on here cooldude

I'm with my friend Dusty...time to seriously start looking for a bike with some off-the-pavement capabilities again before I'm too old to enjoy that type of riding. With so many opportunities around here to get up into the mountains, makes a lot more sense than adding another road bike.

With  the Mitas E07 tires the KTM works really well on tarmac road too, especially on the tight roads, its a fun bike. It was raining in those pics (started at the start of the road) so I stopped taking pics as I went but even on the wet those tires held well

A couple of pics from a run up north that a couple of us went up to attend....stayed up there for the night and back the next day, 7 hours riding for the weekend, not huge but the most I have done since my shoulder injury, felt it a bit on the way home with only one stop.... but its OK today Cheesy

(was a run to remember ANAC day that fell in the lock down so didn't get to remember the Vets in groups.)

yup been back to normal for a good while now, apart from international travel, 14 day isolation to get in (NZ residents only ATM) but that isolation had huge holes with hundreds (over 1K) let through without testing.....government is full of  words but lacked the follow through...some have now been tested and found positive......so we will see how it goes over the next few weeks....we had no cases for over 20 days with ramped up testing until the quarantine snuggle up now a few cases a day (still all from fresh flights)

Positively wonderful. A nice breath of fresh air. I hosted a VRCC guy from New Zealand a number of years ago. Haven't seen him on the board in a few years. I don't recall which Island he called home. Haven't heard from him in a long while. Great pix.  cooldude

Yup winter, been quite dry at times so little in the way of soft ground, mostly stays green right through, especially up north where the ride started.

last pics was after rain showers, got home before the wild weather though Cheesy
